Help please.

I found these 2 stones which looks like they would do very well as earrings set in yellow gold milgrain or plain bezel. The measurements are nearly Super Ideal and HCAs came back as 0.7 and 0.8. I'm hoping to order the earrings very soon. I believe these are the best compromise of price and quality I can come up with for a pair of studs at just under $2k.

I'm quite happy with these stone and I like the look of them from JA's listing video. I just wanted to get that extra confirmation if you know what I mean? They're not super ideals but are affordable enough for a "now" purchase which will allow me to upgrade with a clean conscience :-)

Thank you all so much. I look forward to your replies.

Personally I don't like the differences in color. One looks quite yellow to me and the other more of a golden brownish color. I actually really like the brownish color, but I don't like the two together. But I don't know how visible these differences would be in real life, so you could always order them to see with your own eyes. Also, the brownish one looks cloudy to me.

I think you have to be careful with color matching on lower colors as they can be within the same color range but can have a different undertone. Some can lean brown or gray and others can lean yellow. Can you see if you can get photos of them side by side before deciding. I do have a pair of L colored studs and they are gorgeous but they both lean towards a light butter yellow tone so they match.

I don’t find either of these to be attractive.

the L looks like it has kind of a gray tint while the M looks like it has a yellow tint. The bezel setting will make stones look larger, so maybe drop down in size a bit to see if you can find a better match in budget. Does the $2000 include settings?

I think for earrings they're far enough apart geographically that the tone difference isn't going to be notable. I think it would be visible in hand, or wherever you store them, though.

I agree with @musicloveranthony that they are far apart so wouldn't be as noticeable on the ears because they are separated. With that said the color difference would bother me. The M is so yellow..I love a brown undertone compared to yellow. The L has a lovely tint and also looks so much cleaner.

Here's an M SI 2 that looks cleaner than the M you posted. It might be worth asking for the certificate. The size looks like it would work with the L.

Hi Lookinagain :) Yes, the 2k includes the bezel setting. The stones are 800 for the M and 840 for the L.

Thank you so much. I do see the difference in tint much better now that it's pointed out and I do prefer the yellowish tint of the M, especially with a yellow gold bezel setting. One of the following stones could work with it:
