I just thought I would share a few pictures of the ring I proposed with at the beach a couple weeks ago. (She said yes and is in love w/ the ring!). I knew that I wanted something with a trellis-type / x-prong setting that would also allow the stone to sit low and protect it. I came across this Diana platinum setting w/ tapered baguettes and I thought it was a perfect match. The stone is am eye-clean .94/G/SI1/GIA Excellent. I don''t see too many rings on here with baguettes, but I personally feel they add a bit more to the overall setting without being too overwhelming. Here are the pics...I will try to get some hand shots of the ring on her if anyone is interested. The ring in the pictures is a size 6.5, but we ended up sizing it down to a 5.5, which is a perfect fit.
