Did your SO join PS? Do you think he did, but can''t be sure?

Hey,
I guess being on PS, we all learn a huge deal about diamonds, and maybe in the process, get a little pickier.

I think my SO knows about pricescope but I wonder if he''s joined and asked.

Have any of your SOs joined PS? If so, would it make you stop posting?

P.S.: I recently decided I don''t want an SI 1 diamond because although it''s eye clean, I think I''m so neurotic it isn''t mind clean, but we have agreed not to talk about diamonds for a while so he can feel like he''s really surprising me. How can I slip this bit in?

Even if he doesn't, talk to your guy! I just found out my BF has been seriously *listening* when I talk about diamonds. I was playing around in SMTR, and showed him diamonseeker2006's ring and was oohing and aahing over it. He looked over at the screen and said, "Well, it's well cut," like it was the most obvious thing in the world. I started quizzing him on shapes, and not only could he tell a H&A from an OEC, he knew I liked bezels for earrings/necklaces and prongs for rings! So don't be surprised if he knows *exactly* what you want. As for slipping it in, I'd say just be upfront about it. You could say something along the lines of, "Honey, I know we agreed not to talk about diamonds, but if it's not too late, I realized that this is actually more important to me than I thought." I think being 100% happy with your ring when you get it may trump missing a bit of the surprise.

I would stick a note to the headboard of this bed or pin it to his pillow your technically not talking about it but you get your point across

I am 110% certain my BF is not a member but I have essentially picked out the diamond (well almost)and told him I love certain things on a setting the rest is up to him

I really really doubt he would join so I don''t worry about it. I am the researcher in the relationship. He knows about it somewhat, but I don''t think he would come here on his own. I kinda like it that way.

No mine wouldn''t join himself...I think he''s too worried/uninterested in the whole diamond thing. He wants me to be happy with it, and since I know so much about them now (thanks PS!

) he''d much rather be in the background and sign the check. Fine by me!

But does know my login and could lurk if he wanted. But that I also doubt...

I doubt my SO has joined, i think he may have browsed around here a few times but thats about it. He is fully aware of this site because like BEE''s man he calls this site ring.com and teases me about it. if i bring up a random thing he will jokingly say "did you see that on ring.com??" it is kinda funny.

Although he has forum that he frequents and it is some 4x4 forum as he is redoing a truck. so i have my sparkly women forum and he has his dirty manly forum

I wouldn''t put a little spying while at home past C, but there''s no way he''s a member. He works for his dad and would NEVER hear the end of it if he had this website on his computer history. We''ll talk about random stories or things I read on here, but I don''t think he''s interested enough to frequent on his own.

I doubt my SO even knows this site exists and if he did he would probably be a lurker and not a poster. If I knew he was around here I would probably curb a few of my posts...especially the ones where I''m in the midst of an LIW pittyfest!

To be honest, I love the fact that I can feel free to come on here and vent away without anyone truly knowing who I am (aside from the ladies I have met and Tberube who is a friend IRL). If I felt I had to curb my responces and comments because my SO was lurking, I think it would take away the reason I love it here so much.

Hehe, I like being here on the LIW forum just to see how things are going along. I don''t post on SMTR or Rocky talky very often at all.

I sometimes wonder if he would have joined, but I''m pretty sure he''s lurked, since he knows a good deal about diamonds. Truth be told, I''m now hesitant to mention anything since the diamond price increase, since I also don''t know his exact budget, but more a ball park.

I wish diamond prices would go down so we could all rest our minds about how to make a dream ring out of a REAL budget.

I wish my BF would join Pricescope because I think he''s absolutely clueless as far as diamonds go. Unfortunately, if I were to tell him I''m a PS member, he''d make fun of me mercilessly.
There should be a PS function that allows well-meaning girlfriends to anonymously send their boyfriends diamond tutorials. "That''s weird spam, honey. Maybe you should take a look anyway..."
