Do they make platinum wedding bands smaller than 2 mm wide?

Hello,

Does anyone know where I can find a 1.5 mm platinum wedding band? I have looked EVERYWHERE with no luck, but I have found some in white and yellow gold. It seems strange that they''d make them out of those softer metals and not in platinum.

Any advice would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Gold is actually less bendable than platinum, which might be why they can be made in smaller widths without too much bending.

Leon Mege does wedding bands thinner then 2mm in platinum :)

HI:

Yes, I own one. Bought it stock at some jeweller in Calirfornia while on holiday. Sometimes I wear it alone or it acts as a spacer if I dare to wear my ER and eternity ring together.

cheers--Sharon

Thank you all so much!! :)

I do not have a plain platinum one, but if anyone is ever looking for one with diamonds, I think that I have one! I recently added to my Sheldon Speyer mini mania ring collection. (Previously I had had only one ring, yellow sapphires set in yellow gold.) A few months ago I bought three more bands. One of them is platinum set with diamonds. I do not know how wide the band is, but it is practically non-existent!

I do not know how wide the band is

I found some information in an old posting of mine about Sheldon Speyer. It seems that the platinum band set with diamonds is 1.25mm wide. The following is from another of my postings on Pricescope. I believe that I was quoting another source!

"Sheldon Speyer, long-known for vintage looks and more recently for thin platinum wedding bands set by hand with G/VS full-cut diamonds. Speyer expands this popular line to include sapphires, rubies, garnets, tsavorites and orange garnets in pink or yellow gold as well as platinum.
His newest collection is Mini Mania, an ultrathin platinum band (only 1.25mm wide) with hand-cut stones measuring just 0.8mm. ''Production of these designs is extremely difficult,'' he says, crediting a Far East gem-cutting and gem-setting facility that works exclusively with him. The rings have 45-50 round or triangular VS or VVS diamonds or about 75 round colored gems. Each has a hand-engraved pattern on the sides."
