OK, so I''ve been engaged for a fair amount of time (since last December). And today I forgot to put my ring on before I left the house (I usually take it off before bed and store it in it''s own "special" box). I''ve done this about about 3 times.

I''m going thru withdrawal. I keep wanting to play with it/look at it, and it''s not there. Believe me, I''m going to put it on the minute I get home!

Have any of you forgotten to wear your ring? Feels wierd, doesn''t it?

Yup, especially on the weekends I would forget to put it on, when I wasn''t in my normal morning routine.

I still take it off, along with my w-band, every evening when I got home from work if I know I''m "in" for the night. HOpefully I won''t ever forget to put them both on! I debated taking off the w-band at night but it''s a beautiful piece of jewelry (IMO) and I don''t want it all banged up from everyday chores like dishes.

Is anyone else out there gonna take off their w-bands?

I have gotten about 20 minutes into my morning commute and had to turn back around to get it!!! I feel naked without it, but my fiance doesn''t like me to wear it around the house (he thinks I''ll scratch it etc) so sometimes when I am rushed I forget to slip it on again.

What''s worse, is when I was studying for finals the past few weeks I had about a week betwen the end of classes and my first exam, so I wasn''t wearing my ring while I was at home studying all week. Then when I went in to take the exam, when the proctor called to start and I went to begin typing, I looked down and got distracted by the shininess of it, because I hadn''t really seen it in a week!!! I''ve had it for 3 months, it''s nice to still be shocked at the beauty of it from time to time.

I forget on the weekends sometiimes... but I''ve only forgotten once during the week. I felt very naked without it!

I forgot it in its cleaner on Thursday. My hand felt so wierd! Needless to say by the time I got home my ring was VERY clean

Yup, I have left my rings behind 5-6 times now, only to discover the fact when I''m driving somewhere (usually to work.) I have seriously turned right around upon the moment of discovery and retrieved them every time, after calling work to tell them I will be late, or a couple times after DH and I have been going somewhere. Usually my forgetfullness is due to the fact that I have left them on our dresser after cleaning them the night before.

It definitely is a normal ocurrence (sp?), but I don''t think it means anything negative at all. And WOW, does my hand feel naked and weird without them, ha ha!

I don''t have my ring yet (he proposed without it, it was ordered March 11, and should be here in 2 weeks...AAAAHHHH!!!) but I''m trying to imagine what it will feel like to be wearing it almost constantly. Problem is, I work in an an oceanographic research lab, and go out frequently on boats. Generally, if I''m wearing one of my silver rings, which I don''t do that often anyway, I''ll take it off before a cruise. I can''t even go by what other people in my lab do, because none of the other women have e-rings. I can picture myself taking it off for some reason, leaving it home, and forgetting for days. But maybe once I actually have it, I won''t ever want to let it out of my sight. I don''t know!

I wear mine most of the time ... except when I swim, do dishes and in the shower but when it''s off I can definitely feel the difference and I get that "OMG I lost it" feeling. I guess it just goes to show how often I unconsciously fidget with the ring

. If I forget to put it back on after doing the dishes or something my FI brings it over and sweetly gets on one knee and replaces it. yes yes, cheesy but cute!

I also take it off in the lab - I work with lasers and diamonds+lasers = bad. So I take the ring off and put it my necklace chain, then tuck the chain underneath my lab coat.

I have done this a few times, and that includes forgetting to wear my wedding band... I too take my rings off at night before bed. I''ve actually been w/o an ER for a month ''cause it''s being revamped by Leon Mege. I feel naked!

i have two wedding rings, one on either side of my engagement ring. when we first got married i never took them off, but everytime i washed my hands the water would get stuck underneath the rings (since there are three of them they don''t move around that much so the water couldn''t get out) and i had a very itchy rash on my finger. at first i thought that maybe i was allergic to the metal in my rings, but once i figured out it was the water i have to take them off everytime i wash my hands, and wait til the rings and my finger dry before i put them back on. it''s kind of a pain but at least the rash is gone now! i had to not wear them for two or three weeks while i was waiting for the rash to clear up and that was sad. i definetly missed wearing them.

I forget mine sometimes on the weekends too - which is weird because, as a student, I have a wacky schedule to begin with so I can''t necessarily always place the blame on being out of my routine - my only routine is that I put my ring on before leaving the house... and sometimes I just forget. And then I feel crazy all day long because I keep having these split-second panic moments where I''m thinking "OMG, where''s my ring?!?! Oh yea, I left it at home..." but then an hour later I''ll do it again...

This last week and a half has been terrible because my e-ring has been at Whiteflash for them to make my wedding band (!!!!!) and I had no idea how much I would miss it!!! And now I''m sad all over again because I want so badly to wear both of them on our honeymoon, but I know I just should not take them...

Oh, and yes, I will be taking my w-band off every night - I just cannot sleep w/ jewelry, it irritates/aggravates me. Can''t do it.
