I've got a "day job" in the financial industry but for the past eighteen years I've also been a realtor "on the side." And (as I'm sure virtually all of you know!) I've had an etsy store settling vintage glassware. But I'm always interested to hear what everyone else does along these lines. What do you do when you're not doing the primary thing that brings home the bacon?!

I have a regular job in the food retail industry.
I used to have a booth in an antique mall, as a side hustle.
But I gave it up in January 2022, after 8 years.
It was a lot of work for a little money.
The owner of the mall is a multi-millionaire, and I grew tired of paying rent and helping him stay that way.

Opals have been my side hustle although for about 8 months they were my primary source of income! I always recommend people have some kind of side hustle if they can as it helps to open a cash flow much greater than their day job.

I'm a Surveyor by trade, although I never finished the diploma for it I am still out there teaching a lot of post graduates the little tricks of the trade that they don't teach them through the course. I even taught my boss a neat little trick today involving chewing gum
I'm finally confident enough to start looking at opening my own Surveying business in the future and I know that we can gross over a million per year with myself in the field and my wife handling the bookwork side of things. Just need to get the equipment to get started, which is a large monetary investment on it's own

There is a lady who own an estate sale company here in town and she's opening an antique mall in the spring. She keeps asking me to set up a booth there but I really can't see the benefit of doing it. Every time I see her now it turns into an awkward conversation and I have to find some way to escape.

Her: Do you want a big booth or a small booth?

Me: SQUIRREL!!! (Dee scampers away at full speed!)

Jordy, good for you on getting ready to go out on your own!

LilAlex, my jeweler always uses Bazooka. The best for holding gems in.

When I was working yes my side hustle was doing animal TNR and feeding our ferals.
Now I am retired but we are still doing TNR and caring for the feral cats
No financial reward but the emotional rewards are much greater IMO

None, only the day job as a healthcare professional working as a consultant in the pharmaceutical industry.

I tried dabbling at jewellery making with semi-precious beads and pearls over 20 years ago, attended a few shows with my work, and did not like it, being too much hard work for not a lot in return, so I stopped.

Nowadays, I volunteer for charities in my spare time as a semi retiree working part time only.

None that make money...lol I'm OK with that though! My regular job is more than enough.

I don't have a side hustle. Some hobbies, but nothing on the side to make more money. I'm well compensated in my job and I work enough already that I have no desire to work more.

Yes, Pricescope.
They send me a $100 voucher for each like I get here, redeemable at any PS vendor.

It's nice cause they really add up.
What do you get?

:evil2::evil2::evil2:

Used to do a bit of TV work, but gave it up because the journey to the studio was the pits.

Yes. I’m apprenticing at a nail salon! I basically walked into a salon, got my nails done, mentioned to the owner I would love to learn how to do them and she agreed to apprentice me. I earn a salary and get to learn a new skill. I currently have a nail apprentice license, but after I acquire 600 hours I can apply to get my professional nail tech license.

No. I get hustled on the side - by both my animals and my bling. :boohoo:

Whilst not totally banned I need my bosses permission for any other revenue generating activity outside my job. I work in a regulated industry so side gigs are frowned upon. Although to be honest I wonder where I would ever find the time anyway.

i think my side hussle is going to work and my main job is cook and maid to Gary and the cats
