Hi,

Does anyone know of a beautiful location for an all in one wedding/reception for an intimate gathering of about 40 or so? I'm thinking santa barbara, malibu, laguna beach areas would be ideal but I'm open to anything. I'd love the water to be in the back drop, but it's not required. Since it's so small, i'd like it to be very very nice...but, on the other hand we couldn't afford something like Baccara in SB (though I'd love to :)) I live in the los angeles area. Please, please, please help! I can't find anything that feels right to me. I'm starting to think of running off! Thanks in advance for any tips!

The short answer is no...(I live in No. Cal) but have you checked out the So. Cal edition of the book "Here Comes the Guide?" It''s full of wedding locations to choose from, including contact numbers, prices, capacities, etc...I used the No. Cal edition to choose my wedding venue...I''d highly recommend it!

I thought the Adamson House was beautiful - it''s right on Surf Rider beach in Malibu. As it''s now owned by the State of California, and one books it through the State. The house is famous for being the source of tiles used in the Spanish style used in California homes built in the 20s.

We recently got married at Mission Ranch in Carmel - albiet not So Cal, it is Central Cal. This place was excellent and absolutely beautiful with Point Lobos and Carmel River Beach in the background. The food and service were excellent.
