No joke.

"... we're getting into a new skincare trend: using beef tallow as a moisturizer. That's right – beef fat rendered from suet is one of the trends du jour."

This is funnier than those cucumber slice eye cover treatments. :lol-2:
Even if they work, it doesn't mean they're not funny to adolescent boys, like me.

I'm not using it but I do use snail mucous. From what I've read, the tallow makes a good moisturizer and it has anti inflammatory properties.

Commercial cosmetics are highly processed and have to meet purity standards and the same is true for tallow. If this catches on I hope the tallow comes from cattle that are slaughtered for the meat market and not cattle raised specifically for the cosmetic industry.

Ah yes, snail mucous.
Kewl!

But how do you get the snail to slither across your face?
And what do you do with all of your barf?

Maybe that could be useful too.

I lure them with lettuce. I wish they were faster; it takes me hours to moisturize :lol-2: I swore 2 years ago when I started using Korean skin care that I'd never schmear snail slime on my face but here we are. It helps wounds heal faster, at least for me, and works better than some of the moisturizers I've used in the past. People vary.

What lettuce variety do your snails prefer?
Is the mastication-like sound of slithering Korean snails more pleasing than that of American snails?
In what way, after treatment with imported Korean snail slime, is your skin nicer than it is from lowly Cow tallow derived from cow suet?
(Please
don't look up suet, and don't ask me why)

Is the slithering of Korean snails less abrasive or more
tingly?
Is Korean snail poop some how less objectionable?
If so, in what way(s)?
Is it more fragrant.
Do you kinda like it?

And finally, is any of this snail activity even remotely erotic? :evil2:

Romaine or they go on strike.

I can't say as I use only snails plucked from my garden for which they're grateful because otherwise they are flattened by my shoe. I enjoy in a Despicable Me way hearing their little shells go KARUNCH.

I don't use tallow so can't say. I suspect that Wagyu cow tallow would be far superior to US cow tallow.

I have yet to conduct this comparative research and I'm not inclined to do so unless offered at a billion USD.

Mucin is not poop; it is mucus kinda like the stuff that clogs our sinuses but not really so I wouldn't recommend anyone blow their nose on their hand and apply it to their face. It's odorless and I do kinda like it now that the queasiness has subsided.

Good question. Not erotic for snails but it is slippy slidey odorless and not greasy so I think it has a dual use that won't appear on the label.

No fat ‘cause my face is already ‘fat’, but I do use horse oil from a Korean brand for a couple years straight. It does a decent job to moisture my skin but not sure of any other benefits that it claims. I got tired of it and changed brand but nothing is wrong with it.

im pretty sure African (actually from Africa) ladies have been using beef fat like this for a very long time

I actually do LOL! Mine is whipped tallow with cocoa butter and vanilla and smells really good. Haven't experienced anything negative but I will say it does a good job of moisturizing my skin and gives it a nice glow.

Nah, I’m a fan of leftover petroleum from oil and gas production.
It is actually recommended by doctors for sealing over grazes to aid healing and dermatologists suggest that it helps other facial skin products absorb.
So it seems Vaseline is good for other things hee hee.

No. My skin care is very basic. I wash with thermal spring water spray (sometimes I use a vegan cream cleanser if I am wearing any makeup on my face which 99% of the time I am makeup free). And I moisturize with a very gentle and light moisturizer if my skin feels dry. That's it. No animal products on my face unless you include cat saliva of which there is plenty

That's why you look so young!

Yup. This all the way for decades. My Derm recommends it. (when I used Retinol I slather the Cerave over the retinol and then go to sleep.)

My sister just sent me a picture of a snail that was on the window of her house in Maui. It was the size of a big hand spread out. You would have asphyxiated! Take care!
