Hi,

I am thinking about having scattered diamonds on my wedding band, different sized stones (all fairly small though) randomly placed. And wondered if anyone has or has seen anything like what I''m after, it sounds lovely in my head but not sure what it will actually look like in real life!

Thanks.

Hi, my first (unfortunately now lost) engagement ring was exactly like this - 4mm white gold band with 27 different sized diamonds scatter set all the way around the band. I loved it and I will have a dig around for a picture for you. Will put on one when I find it.

Have you seen this wedding band from WF?: http://www.whiteflash.com/Wedding_Bands/-Champaigne--Pave-Band_1002.htm

It matches this e-ring: http://www.whiteflash.com/Engagement-Rings/Styles/Diamond-Settings/Petite--Champaigne--Pave-by-WF_1120.htm

I think this set is just BEAUTIFUL, but I don''t think I could pull it off. Maybe just the w-band as a RHR someday?

I have the 5mm band from WF. I love it, and I love your idea. I think it would be really pretty!

However, I just want to mention something, since from your post it sounds like you've never seen one. The look is very subtle/understated. It's not "eye catching". So if that's what your after, great. But if you're wanting something noticeably blingy, it may not be what you're after. Just a heads up!

Right i''ve found them, just to warn you these pictures were taken when my ring was desperately in need of re-rhodiuming and it was also absolutely filthy - unfortunately I lost it soon after so I hope whoever found it has at least cleaned it! I received very mixed reactions about this ring and am therefore unoffendable, you may be as honest as you like. Hope the pictures help you decide how you would like your wedding band to be and have fun choosing!

I have the Tiffany etoile band. I don''t have a picture right now but if you look back through my old posts you will find the ring with my ering. You can also go to Tiffany''s website to see the band in yellow gold and in platinum.

It is very elegant but as Ellen says, it is very understated. If I remember correctly, the name Etoile means star and the diamonds are generally very small and twinkling as opposed to large and flashing. If you are going custom, I''m sure you could have as many variated sizes as you want. However, the more scattered the stones are, the wider in mm the band has to be.

I wear a scattered diamond band as my wedding ring: I had mine engraved with stars all about as well. Like Ellen says, it''s an understated look, but it''s a good "forever" ring for me: I like being able to bling it up with stacking bands some days, but to also have one ring that I never take off. No idea where I stashed my pics, so here''s a link to my original thread!

Irishgirl I love that champaigne one. I wonder if anyone on on ps has it. I would love to see it.

Lottie this is a very cool sprinkle ring :) I love it! How TERRIBLY sad you lost it.. I would be heartbroken... I don''t think I''d have taken it off.. Hugs!!
I think its lovely Lottie! I''m sorry you lost it.

Here is mine. It is fancy colored diamonds in yellow gold. 38 diamonds for 63 points, as I recall. I just love it.

...another (darker, sorry) pic of the band alone. It has a sandblast finish (or used to before I started wearing it shiny!)

Thanks! I''m right fond of it myself.

No, it isn''t Etienne Perret, it is a custom piece by a Santa Fe jeweler by the name of Nancy Brown. Sadly, (and I only found this out just this week while visiting her website - her shop is still humming along with other designers at the helm now), she passed away the very month I bought that piece back in 2006. (My husband and I decided to use that for my wedding band rather than get something else - it''s just so unique). She died of ovarian cancer. Very sad. As I browsed the better jewelry shops in Santa Fe, the hushed word was that she didn''t have much time left. I had no idea how close they meant....

I feel honored to have one of her pieces.

There was also one there at the time, of rose gold with white diamonds. It was a temptation too. I was actually seriously looking at an Alex Sepkus piece when my eyes fell on mine though. The piece was entitled "Freckles". I''m a redhead, so I knew it had to be mine...

k, how sad. I bet you do....

ksinger I LOVE your ring! The coloured diamonds are amazing and look fantastic with the yellow gold.

Thanks for all the piccies. I am after the understated look, I prefer twinkly to blingy on me. Also I want a band that will take some punishment.

ksinger- I love all the mixed colours, but with all the colour choices I wouldn't know what to pick!- I was going to ask who made it but then I read down

Circe- I want your jewelry box!

Lottie- I think I want something very similar to your ring but a bit thiner as I wear a 4mm ring at the moment as find it a bit uncomfortable.

And finally for MMT & Irishgirl >>

I''m not sure whos champaigne that is, I just found it somewhere as I was considering it.

I like the little stones on the outside that are spaced out but I''m not keen on the cluster around the center stone.
