Does anyone else have an Instagram page ONLY for your collection?

I’m just wondering if it’s just me, or does anyone else have an Instagram account exclusively to catalogue your jewellery collection?

I have no followers and follow no one on mine, it is totally private. It’s simply a repository of photos and descriptions of my jewellery pieces. I like to keep track and easily find photos and specs of my pieces.

I don’t have every single thing on there (yet) but I add a new piece every time I finish something. As well as adding it on Pricescope of course!!

Nope, my IG account is more for me to use it to follow others and not the other way round, and it only has a few pets/camping related photos, and I have not updated it for ages.

DK :))

I keep a private Pinterest page.

It's never crossed my mind to do so, but I also use IG to follow my interests and things that make me happy. I have a total of 7 posts perhaps, and have actively discouraged family members from following me (some do, but not much to follow if I don't post). IG is my happy place to indulge in my interests, and FB is where I keep in touch with people.

I used to but then current events forced me to take a more serious point of view so now it’s more about that then bling

I recently created a new, anonymous IG account just for bling, given the current Loupe Troop issue. I don't feel comfortable posting bling photos on my personal page.

I have an IG page for my design projects (interior renovations and jewelry). Only a few friend followers and it’s used to catalog my work.

I’ve thought about using my IG account to catalog my collection for my nieces. They’ll inherit it all and I’d like an easy way to document details so they can find them easily. A spreadsheet with tons of photos would suck.

I keep a file on Google Drive that is categorized by type (rings, earrings, necklaces/pendants, loose stones, etc.), then separated by metal type (Plat, YG, WG, Ster.), then each item has its own folder where I keep purchase history, photos, copy of lab report, and any other important details/info. So Pendant>YG>Pear Diamond Solitaire. For matching pairs of loose stones, I put the sub-folders in a folder together.

I also keep track of all purchases in a Google Sheet for personal accountability purposes, and each item is linked to the individual sub-folder. And if you're wondering, yes, I am a nerd. :geek2:

Can I hire you to catalog my collection?:clap:

me too. I really don't keep track of much. I have the hard copies of certs in a folder, but honestly didn't mark what pieces they went into in the beginning, although I do now. I just figure that my daughter will get it all, and probably keep it anyway. On my computer, I do have photos of most pieces and when I think about it, the cert is also in there. I'm not consistent though. I'm a bad bling mama......

The only reason I use instagram is to follow vendors and look at pretty pictures. Recently I've started following some PSers as well. To be honest, I really like the idea of using it as a catalogue of sorts, it sounds very useful.

I have a folder on my computer with all stones and jewelry. I screenshot the originals and then take my own photos, and also include copies of certs.
I also keep an Excel file with all stones, their stats and prices. It's color coded for what's been set, pairs, melee, even what I plan to sell:

Is someone on here the IG lady who posts all her high end bling pictures including multiple Cartier bracelets while always being on vacation?

I confess, it’s me.

Jkjkjk I wish it was me! I would love to find her on IG, she has a phenomenal collection and great style!

I would like to follow this account

Nope, not broadcasting what I have, and none of my social media accounts are linked.

DK :))

I have one, and I keep meaning to actually use it, but for whatever reason I just don't. I only use it to look at spinels, mostly:lol:

I don't but maybe should have. I have cats and had a few jewelry/gemstone pics. I have an ER obsession. Awkwardly though, my work associates and family started filtering in.

OOPS. I am a little embarrassed.

Working at non-profits dedicated to homelessness, not sure this is a good look with some people. So I removed my bling for the most part, left with a few cat pictures.
