do you think the soldering part with the head is a bit messy ?

background story, I order the Butterfly setting from Whiteflash, they made a mistake by setting it with their Trellis setting and had to recall the package and remake it. They are very apologetic and I understand it’s just a mistake, was not a big deal to me.
However looking at the photo they send me this morning, I feel the ring head looks messy, I am not sure if I am being to picky , I wonder if this is because they remade the ring from Trellis and was rushing it ? Especially the part I circle it ?

please let me know what your think ? Am I being unreasonable , when I compare with their stock photos I feel the stock photos look more clean and beautiful :(

Sometimes it's hard to tell in pictures what is just a reflection on the metal vs. what is truly an imperfection in the craftsmanship of the ring. I suggest waiting until you can look at it in person before making any judgments about the ring.

Since WF still has the ring I would just point out those areas and ask them if its a reflection or if there are some anomalies in the metal
that could be polished out. It is difficult to look at pictures with all the reflections/angles that just don't come across right in 2-D.

Edit...you cant just convert the trellis setting to the butterfly setting. Different prong numbers/angles/baskets etc.

I agree. I think its a reflection in the metal but would ask them.

Thanks all for your reply! I emailed them , they didn’t say it’s reflection or flaws but will ask their product team to take a look.

WF sent me new photos today, I think it has improved from last time. But I still have some questionable part that it looks rough, doesn’t look like reflection. I asked them again about it, hope I am not being an unreasonable customer. :(

What do you think?

I'm not sure if this helps but this is the only pro photo I have of mine (I was mostly concerned about symmetry so they drew the lines for me). I think I see the same areas you have. In real life I can only say it looks perfect to me. I think these blown up photos exaggerate everything. I would guess there are some limitations to perfection based on the casting process? I have no idea. Having said that, you should be happy and I think they would want the same. I hope this does help.Screen Shot 2021-10-20 at 2.18.57 PM.png

Thank you for sharing your ring photo. Your ring is beautiful! I do think yours look smoother.
WF is going to try another fix for me. :(
