So I thought I would be able to be terribly patient. But I am not. In our approval of our wax, our jeweler said the ring would be done today. I had told my bfriend that i was done with the ring after that meeting, but i want to go try it on! Of course I cant, because I want a suprise proposal too. OHHHHHhhhhh....I now understand how easy it is to go crazy over waiting. I think I will have it in the next two weeks. As he scheduled our engagement pics on his birthday, October 16th, and I have to have my ring by then....

Just thought I would share my frustration.
 
I understand your frusterations but 10/16 will be here before you know it. The proposal will be worth the wait.
 
Excuse me while I feel insanely jealous! You know for a fact that you will be getting engaged to the man of your dreams sometime in the next three weeks. That is fantastic! Now get a mani/pedi this instant, charge your digital batteries and if you are the sort, get your hair done, your eyebrows a facial. (Oh and the little Target 10minute ones that are 1.75 are great!) You know that in less then a month you will be able to use the F word!!!! You lucky girl!

Yea! Soon it''s coming. Too funny about you being impatient. Actually I sent my ring to Leon to have it fixed, and I was like, "I''m not going to miss it or anything." ......Let''s just say I looked at pics of my ring on pricescope last night!

We all do what we say we "won''t" do.

I''m sure it will be a wonderful proposal. Hang in there!

I don''t know why Einstein didn''t include that fact in his theory of relativity. Maybe because he wasn''t a girl?

MsFlutter, you must be sooooooooooo excited!!!! Try & think of fun things to do in the next 2-3 weeks to take your mind off the ring. Maybe some retail therapy is in order

Yay yay yay! I can''t wait to see this puppy! i think this is the only time where 2 weeks will feel like 2 years...cuz I know those 2 week honeymoons sure don''t feel as long! I hope it''s sooner rather than later...if he gives it to you right before the photo shoot, you may not be able to look up from the ring to take any pictures!

I am seriously losing my mind. I may not be having nightmares, but my bf cant do anything w/o me thinking he is about to propose. He hasnt mentioned the ring, but has asked what to wear in our e-pics on sunday (so if the pics are still on, he is going to propise, right?). He just went to osco to get laundry detergent and I was like...where is he really going? anyway, just an fyi....i''m losing it.

I am taking him out to a super fancy prix fixe japanese restaurant on Friday for his bday. i wonder if he thinks thats a good time to propose? I suppose it will make it worth the $300 on raw fish and sake.... Like i said, i over analyze everything.
 
You are not losing your mind! I am nearly 100% sure that the soonest my darling SO will be doing ring stuff is christmas. And yet our phone conversations have become some sort of odd word association game. If he say any word which could be even vaguely related to shiney objects of any kind and I am in full on alert mode for clues or hints. That is madness! Just think you have less then a week left! GO YOU!!!

I would love to describe it! It is a 2.4 ct ruby (apprx 9x7x4) set in a platinum halo setting, the halo has 2 pointers and the band will have 1.7 pointers. And you have no idea how much i WANT it.

This morning he asked if i was so quiet last night because i was upset about not getting the ring yet, i said no (which was true). And he said hopefully it will be done soon! I said, it was supposed to be done 2 weeks ago! And he just smiled, is it really not done? why? did they screw it up? He is not this good at keeping secrets! She picks things up from her setter on Wed, so maybe tonight will be the night? need to stop obsessing!

It does sound like he''s planning something today, though......the devil! The ring sounds absolutely amazing and it will be soooo worth the wait but still, why must they be so cruel???? Here''s to hoping you have a wonderful suprise tonight!

i am so wrong. in all kinds of way. I just had to stop myself from scouring the house for my ring, i found the appraisal and i know he has the ring, here, somewhere. AUUUGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really thought i would never be this girl. I just got home from the gym and he went jogging while i cook dinner and i havent even started cooking, should i shower? will it be tongiht? no he will wait to friday, just to torture me. really, i''m at my witts end, i''m glad i didnt find the ring though, i do want to see it from him. No matter how romantic (or not) the proposal is. wish my heart would stop beating so fast!

I am resisting, and i am not getting it tonight. But i do want to see it, and i want to go back to the appraisal and examine it properly, but i am the one who said i wanted a suprise! But what if the pave is to small? too big? The ring too cocktailish. i''m sure it will be just perfect. I hope it will be. Do you think he is going as crazy as i am? nah, its the playoffs.
