So I''ve ordered the cake, got the flowers in the works, have the place...and I''m starting to second guess all my decisions! Like, did I get the best place for the wedding, or will the cake really look like what I want, or will the flowers turn out well. It''s so hard for me to let go and just let the process happen, and be comfortable it will all turn out as I envisioned. Did anybody who has already been married go through this? How do you let go of the "what will happen" and "did I do the right thing?"

It is easy to second guess everything, sometimes even the Man! :) The thing to keep in mind is that no one, including you and your hunny, will remember what the flowers looked like, what kind of plates you ate off of, what recepition site you had, all they will remember is the beautiful ceremony that is going to happen between two people who really love each other. The best thing about my wedding is that all my friends and family were there, I was stressed about a lot of things like you are now and I finally just let it all go and went with the flow. My wedding was picture perfect because everyone was enjoying themselves and the whole vibe was awesome. Cheesey as it sounds, it is all about the marriage and even though it is easy to get carried away with everything else, all that matters is that you two are there and commiting your lives to each other, for better or worse. :)

I am sure that all of your choices are FANTASTIC, lean back take a deep breath and just enjoy the time you have left- it will FLY by....

There was a thread just like this on my local knot board, and I said the same thing as Renee - as long as you''ve got the right man, all the details are nice, but just details! (That said, I obsess over the details... but you know... it''s just bc I''m anal like that!)

Don''t worry, it will all turn out great. I got married under a white tent, the ribbons drifted over into the unity candle half way through and next thing I knew my maid of honor and mother were shouting FIRE, FIRE!!!! After the first flames were put out another bridesmaid leaned over to me during the toast and caught the front of her dress on fire on a different candle....a friend ran her brand new truck into the reception halls deck and knocked it off the foundation, and the cake got so hot from the sun it just about fell.....it was stressful but now it''s just funny. If everything goes exactly as planned it''s boring....don''t worry, it will all be wonderful, whatever happens!!

As someone who has only been married for 3 weeks, I couldn''t agree more! I stressed out about so many different things but had to just let it all go because I really wanted to enjoy the day with my man and all of our family and friends. And it was perfect. You could feel the energy in the room, like everyone was on a high. People are still raving about it. I was so scared of having an "un-fun" wedding but it was a blast.

Just remember why you''re doing this and realize that all the minor things are unimportant when it comes to real life and spending the rest of your life with the one you love. And always know you can come here to vent and we''ll talk you off the ledge!!

Thank you! It is hard to keep perspective...this is just ONE day, and I''ll be married forever. I want it to go well, but I have to remember I have control from the tip of my nose to the end of my toes, and that''s IT. I''m sure it will turn out okay. I''m done freaking out for now. Today. This moment. There will be more later.

Oh Rebemdee, welcome to my world! With 9 weeks to go, I feel so much like you do. But with every day that goes by I have more "strength" to just make a decision and move on, without looking back. I keep telling myself exactly the type of things the others wrote, like no one is going to remember the cake, the sashes on the chair covers, the mismatched invitation envelopes, or that the pink in the invitations is not the same as the pink in the roses, nor the pink in the cake icing. I feel like I''ve heard those lines so many times now that they are finally sinking into my brain--amen and hallelujah for not caring so much any more!!!

AlaskaGirl--those are hysterical wedding stories! I bet everyone remembers your wedding!!
