I've been having clusters of strange dreams over the last six months or so. It is not the same dream recurring, but a similar theme throughout.

I find myself either involved in building, rebuilding, or completely remodeling a house. Sometimes it is a huge mansion; othertimes it is the prior house in which we lived. I'm there with either my parents or my spouse, and my children. Sometimes the children are toddlers again. There is a lot of time and energy spent on how high to build walls, what kind of wall coverings, choosing cabinets and countertops, furniture, and paint color. Much of the time the house is very impractical and I don't know why.

Why am I so busy building homes in my sleep? Does anyone have ideas? What kind of strange situations do you find yourself in when dreaming?

I looked up dream themes and buildings and it said buildings represent your body/personality, so maybe there is something about yourself you want to work on? Maybe the fibro has something to do w/it too..my mom has it and wants to exercise, thinking that would help her to feel better, but she hurts, and so it's a circle.

This is very interesting, Uppy!

I don't know anything about dreams, but to answer your last question:

I've had recurring dreams about bathrooms for as long as I can remember. I'm always in a different place, and I really need to use the bathroom, and the only loo I can find is either very dirty with water right up to the top, OR it is right out in the open. Yuck.
Need I share that I avoid using public restrooms, as a rule?
I recently shared this with my mom, and she said that she has the same type of recurring dreams. Strange, huh?

Other than that, as a child I had a recurring dream that a group of teenagers kidnapped me from the local grocery store. One of them had a blue mohawk and he wore a vest. That's all I can remember.

I've long given up on finding meaning in my dreams. There are so many, so different. I do find that I have vivid lasting memories of dreams. I dreamed in high school of being chased by a black figure with a knife through a mall. I have dreamed of riding horses. I have dreamed of sucky exes, or psycho catty girls. The other night I dreamed of this thumping noise, and following it, only to find a body swinging in my closet.... in actuality there was branch hitting my roof all night. Sometimes I dream about food. Sometimes I dream I'm part of some movie I've watched. The biggest thing is how real and vivid they all really are. I can remember such detail.... like mannequins and jewelry counters in the dark in the first one... with escalators behind them....

I used to dream about my teeth falling out quite often. I've had dreams about my skin a lot as well-I've got bad skin to begin with and these dreams always take it to a disgusting level that freaks me out. (to the point that even just typing it gives me goosebumps) Mostly I dream about hiding, and when I'm hiding I can will myself into things, one dream I was in water and there was like a grotto thing, and I was able to swim inside the rock and watch the people as they went by, looking for me, and if I'm in a house and someone is looking for me, I can walk thru walls and find hidden rooms, and rooms are always are bigger than they look..like Dr. Who's Tardis. (and my dream Tardis is a red phone booth in one of the trees in my parents grove-that's been since I was a little kid)

I also dream about water a lot, and sharks. Tho I never see the sharks, I know they're there. The water is always warm and a greenish blueish color. I dream of tornadoes a bit, but not as much as the other things.

I spent a little time this afternoon on a dream site, and it listed several common dream types, and one of them was TEETH! I couldn't imagine anyone having recurring dream themes regarding teeth, but I guess that's you Packy. What was said was that it had to do with being worried about your appearance, or losing your looks.

I'm going to see if I can find that link. http://dreammoods.com/cgibin/teethdreams.pl?method=exact&header=dreamid&search=teethintro

Oh that's weird, I posted last night but it didn't show up. I used to go to that site-that's where I got my info too!

I used to dream I was losing my teeth. In my case, looks weren´t the problem, but insecurity about my career. I also have a long running dream theme about airport and travel. Either I am in a huge airport and I can't find the check-in counter/boarding gate or I arrive at the airport and find that I have forgotten my tickets (my dreams have caught up with e-tickets yet!) or my passport. The passport cenario is the most common - I forget it, lose it, never got one, etc. The funny thing is I have never had these roblems in real life (and I travelled a lot).

I have been having the most amazing, vivid dreams ever since I started some medication. Very curious!
