Dreams are making me CrAzY

So I noticed another post about dreams and wanted to expand it a little more for perspective. Lately the majority of my dreams are focused on the proposal. One was at Disneyland in a store when he asked, another was outside the gates, and last night we were somewhere I couldn''t recognize but it was lovely. These dreams, as I awake and fall back to sleep either continue or evolve. The one last night evolved into our wedding shower!!

So I was wondering for the ladies that are BIW and the LIW that know a timeline, do you have these dreams too??

I am curious mainly because I have been trying to push it out of my mind during the day (unless I stop on here). Yet the dreams occur 4 to 5 times a week. It''s not a bad thing by any means but it''s making me laugh and I wondered if others are in similar situations.

I don''t have a timeline, but I have dreams kind of like this all the time. I had the one a month or so ago about a creepy guy at my old job proposing to me. At the time, I was getting proposal vibes from my boyfriend that I mis-read. And then last week, I had a dream where I was in a church and a member of a wedding party. I was wearing a red dress and I realized in the dream that the bride was drunk (!!), immense and had a filthy dress on. When she turned around, I realized that the bride was my BF''s ex-wife. In real life, she is a very large woman (from her wedding day to now, she more than doubled her body weight and is probably close to 300# if not over that) who has substance issues and who does not take good care of herself (not sure why - poor self-esteem, or she is so messed up she no longer notices/cares). In their wedding, which I''ve seen photos of, the bridesmaids wore red dresses. Obviously, that had a lot of subliminal meaning to it!

In my case, my dreams are my brain''s way of exploring/processing stuff. If I am doing heavy thinking about anything, it usually shows up in my dreams. Mostly veiled with symbolic references that I have to think hard about, but sometimes not. I''ve even had "prophetic" dreams to where something happens and I realize that I "was there before" in a dream. In your case, though, it just sounds like happy anticipation. I''d enjoy the show if I were you!

WOW! This is sooo weird that you posted this because I had ANOTHER dream last night and was just thinking about posting it! funny!

My dreams are still about the ring and the proposal...

1. my ring was plastic
2. proposed without a ring
3. proposed with a ring with the same band as we picked out but with the solitaire set in a very weird way and a round diamond...i want a princess cut so i was very disappointed in the dram and was trying to think of ways to get it returned for a princess cut....HORRIBLE!

I would never do that in real life! I know i will love it no matter what in my real proposal but this dream did give me a laugh. I woke up touching my hand because i thought it was real!

Plus...# 3...my dream last night...the proposal: I went to bed and woke up in the morning with a ring on my finger and SO standing above me proposing...very sweet but still not what my dream proposal is...he knows i want my family there and for it to be a big deal...unfortunately i like things like that differing from many LIW on this board

I had a dream last night that it was our wedding day, we''d found the PERFECT little church, and everything was gorgeous -- my dress, our guests, the flowers, cake... (except strange in that I was viewing it from outside my body, as if it were a movie).

Odd also, because, being Jewish, we''re probably not going to get married in a church.

Sounds normal to me! I''m no psychologist but your brain does continue to process things even while you are asleep! I remember when I was engaged to my ex-husband I would have crazy dreams about the wedding. One I remember the most is that I was walking down aisle in sweats!

Just wait till you get pregnant! Now those are some CRAZY dreams!

It''s funny you mentioned the preg dreams... I recently had one that was so real I actually woke up crying because my baby girl was not in my arms anymore. The odd part was that one of my friends is a well known psychic and before I could mention my dream she looks at me and says - "So you met your daughter. Isn''t she wonderful??" I was SHOCKED!! My friend later told me in the psychic world, this would be considered a "real experience" as an introduction to my future baby. Interesting. I am not sure I believe all that but it was a delightful dream.

Wow, I wish I was having good dreams! Haha. I''ve just been having nightmares lately about getting hurt (falling down stairs, etc.). I think it''s because for some reason the last two weeks I keep dropping and breaking things and I am afraid I''ll fall and hurt myself next. It''s so annoying! It''s like what am I going to break next? Anyway, sorry for going off topic.

Hi Miss Erin, I''ve been having really wierd dreams too! A few nights ago I dreamt that SO suddenly dropped to one knee whilst out shopping in front of LOADS of people and muttered under hsi breath, "Marry me." He then gave me three rings which were all awful!! He said he couldn''t afford the ring I wanted and to choose one of three he had offered and he would take the others back. I remember choosing one and being really disappointed as it was like nothing we had ever looked at. Then he got annoyed and said he may as well take it back but I had lost it! It had fallen off and I was crawling around trying to find it but couldn''t.

The baby dreams are strange too! I''ve had a dream quite a few times about suddenly having a baby boy and walking around with him in his pram and I loved him SO much. Then a couple of nights ago I dreamt that SO had a baby boy on his knee saying how gorgeous he was! It''s wierd because I always thought I''d have a girl first.
