Hi Everyone,

I am really debating between these two dresses, and am having a really hard time deciding. I just get such a great feeling in both of these...I know that they are totally different. I thought I was decided on #1, but no one else seems to get as excited about it as me! #2 is beautfil as well, but a bit simplier than I was orignally looking for. - But I guess I could always excessorive with lots of bling..mmmm.

Any thoughts? I thought it might be better to ask people who don''t know me, because everyone else just seems to say "oh, that just looks so like your dress style". Yes, they know my evening dress style, but that is a lot different than what I would wear in a wedding dress, know what I mean?? And I want it to be based on what looks best on my size/ frame, not just what they think is my style.

THANKS in advance for any imput

it sounds like you like dress 1 better, but your friends and family like dress 2 better. Which dress makes you feel beautiful?

I like #2 better. I think the flare on the first dress starts up too high. The line on the second, both on the bodice and through the hips, seems to be more elegant.

BOTH! To answer your question. Maybe this is being nit picky, but here''s part of the truth....
I think I love the lacy girly design of #1 better (off the rack), but on me, I feel like #2 almost looks a little better on my body. -But that could just be me thinking that. Sometimes we can be harder on ourselves.
But that is getting down to the nitty gritty.. Plus #1 is twice as expensive.

GYPSY,
..
Wow, that was fast! LOL. You beat me. Thanks for the vote!

OH. I forgot to mention, I would have some of the "fluff" reduced. So it wouldn''t flare as much.

#2 for sure... I am very distracted by the bow in #1 - to be honest, that''s all I can see when I look at the picture.

I think #2 looks wonderful, but make sure to listen to yourself, not everyone else when you make your final decision.

Good luck, you can''t go wrong with either!

Definitely number 2!!! So beautiful!

I vote #2.

I like the way it shows off your curves. Also, I find the bow in #1 a little distracting as MarksGirl mentioned.

The fluff isn''t the problem on one, its that the flare is cut way too high on the body, even with a reduction it still isn''t going to be very flattering.
I like the idea of the lace, maybe you could keep searching until you find one that is a better shape but has trhe details you wanted?

I''m with MarksGirl. The bow takes away from the beauty of the lace. And I agree about the cut like BIH said-it trumpets out too high.

My vote is for #2 as well, because I think it looks lovely on you and gives you some awesome curves!

That was a good critique. And thanks for the suggestions.

I'm starting to think that maybe my body isn't made for the lace I love. This was ONE of the ONLY types of lace I loved (I didn't like the appliquie kind that is raised, with beading, ect.) ..
And the other problem I have come across is that I need a sash, or a "break" in the pattern. Otherwise I look like I have no waist- no curves, just straight down.
I can't find the type of lace I love in the style of dress my body needs.

This is the only other one I found that I liked the lace style. They tied on the sash at the emire waist (which I didn't like) and then at the hips (in the picture). No one seemed to like it when we did this, but now that I look at the picture, I think I might kind of like it- maybe just the sash and no bow though....

Any opinions on this sash style??

I like 2 best on you. You really have a great figure...and in 1 I think it gets lost in the flare issue you were pointing out. 2 fits like it was meant for you....and that FIGURE!!! I agree about the bow confusion. I would like to see it reduced to only the loops and half the size.

I agree with those who said that the bow on #1 is distracting, and I find the overall silhouette of the dress to minimize your bust and is not as flattering to your curves.

I was surprised by the second picture because you have an amazing, curvy, sleek figure and the flattening effect of the first dress was just the dress and not your actual body shape.

Regardless, both dresses are very pretty but I think dress #2 does a lot more for you. Just my 2 cents.

Oooh...our posts crossed...I really love the sash style on you. You are still showcasing that fab figure...but it is a more modern line with the sash on the hip instead of the waist detail on #2.

I love the lace...and the peek of a sleek layer under it. I like the updated...more contemporary line of dress #3.

For me 3, 2, 1.

Ditto! I think the sash looks great on your hips. Do you have a preference between 2 and 3? (I''m thinking maybe since you didn''t originally include dress 3, but y''never know.) I think I''d order them 3, 2 and then 1 like DKS.

my vote is for #1. its so girly and lacy, is that a ribbon around the skirt, about 12" from the bottom? so adorable.

i think it''s hard to get an idea of how it would look on you because the proportions are all out of whack because it''s a sample. you are standing on a pedestal right? and the skirt still hits the floor, so i''m guessing you are a tiny little thing in terms of height (you are obviously tiny in weight!!) and would order hallow-to-hem? that might take care of the proportion problems that everyone is talking about. i also think it''s hard to compare because i think the first one isnt intended to be a mermaid, but more of a modified a-line, which is why the flare starts up a bit higher. the second one is definitely a mermaid.

also, I think the bow is adorable. the one thing i do think is that i really like the color of the second dress much better than the first one. i don''t know if the sample of the first dress is just dirty or what, but i think that bright white on the second dress looks great on you.

I like # 2 on you. There is too much going on with # 1, and I dont like # 3 (maybe if they removed the sash I would like it better)? #2 is just classicly beautiful, and you look great in it.

I like #2 best on you personally. For some reason, #1 seems to make the line from your neck to your bust look too long, and every time I look at it, I just want to yank the dress up a bit. I also agree that the flare begins too high. I like #3 too, but I think if the sash was a bit higher it would define your tiny waist a bit more than having it across the hips.

Between the two, I prefer #1 (but without the bow). Frankly, neither of them blows me away and you don''t sound very excited by either. I haven''t clicked on the links provided; maybe the dress is among those.

I think the bow on #1 is making your waist look larger than it is. I think #2 is very flattering, but if you really want lace, I''m surprised that you can''t find a mermaid-cut strapless lace dress with a sash at the natural waist. I like #3, but I''m not crazy about the sash around the hips. It sort of draws the eye there, and to me it looks like it just slipped down or something.

I prefer number 2 but I still wouldn''t be 100% about it. I just really dislike the bow on number 1. Like someone else posted, that''s all I see when I look at the picture. I would definitely have another look around as you have a fabulous body and you need something that shows it off to it''s best advantage.

#2! #2! #2!

It's elegant, still has lace accents, and it fits you beautifully.

ETA: Oops, I missed #3! It's beautiful, and has the lace you like without *so* much going on at once like #1, but I still prefer #2. #2 was made for your body type.

I vote 2, 3, 1.

I think I just needed to hear that #1 isn't the most flattering on me- I already knew it in the back of my mind but wasn't ready to admit.

I still do love #2. The simplicity and cleaness is growing more on me everyday. It was just hard at first because it wasn't what I originally invisioned. You know? And I did LOVE the way I felt in it.

In another couple weeks there should be a particular enzoanni dress for me in on memo. I feel it fits like #2, but offers more detail (although not quite the lace of #1 I really like the tulle and assym. beadwork) Maybe this will solve my delimma of wanting something fitting like #2, but having more detail.

Here's how a similar enzoanni fits on me: -

Here is the similar style:

This is the one they are getting in for me...
