So far the dresses that have looked best on me have very ornate and heavily beaded bodices and either tucks or puffy layers of tulle on the bottom. Unfortunately my budget is 3K, and they were all way over. Can anyone recommend dresses in my price range that meet those criteria? I''ve found two Maggie Sottero dresses (http://www.maggiesottero.com/dress.aspx?pageSize=8&style=A578GB and http://www.maggiesottero.com/dress.aspx?pageSize=8&page=1&style=A574-HC), but they''re two piece which generally doesn''t look good on me. Thanks so much!!

Alfred Angelo has one, although it's more of a pick-up skirt than tucked:

I've seen it in the store, in the ruby color. It's quite beautiful. Runs around $800.

Oh wow, that''s very pretty! I actually thought that tucks and pick-ups were synonymous, but I guess I''ve been using the words incorrectly! What''s the difference?

I love those Allure dresses! What''s the quality of the beading like?

I've never seen one in person, so I'm not sure. One of our fellow PSers (BravesFan) has the first Allure gown, and I bet she'd answer any questions you have! She recently posted pictures of herself in it, here's the link: Bravesfan's Allure Dress

i tried on an eve of milady gown that was just like this. i don''t remember the price though...

let me see if i can find a pic.

That was a gorgeous, dress, jcrow! As for pricing, I''ve heard Eve of Miladys are similar in price to Reem Acras, so around $4-$5k.

dang. i could of sworn $3k, but you''re probably right. i tried on sooo many dresses, they are a bit of a blur...

i know there are several designers that do pickup styles. i found this capri bio that may help.
