Durability of bruise on table of VVS2 diamond

In my search for an S1 eye clean diamond I've come across a VVS2 stone that looks to be a pretty good deal. The clarity is way higher than what I was searching for, but a bruise on the table knocks the price down quite a bit. I've been guaranteed that the bruise is not visible to the eye, and that I have a 30 day money back guarantee if I don't like how it looks. My main concern other than the location of the bruise is whether or not I should be concerned about the durability of the stone, being right on the table of the diamond. Is it likely to grow if hit by something sometime in the future? Thanks for any input!

Hi Monkey and welcome!

A bruise inclusion in VVS2 is really not going to be an issue to the best of my knowledge, this thread should shed some light on this for you, in particular read expert Tom Gelb's remarks.

With regards to the diamond, looking at the proportions I think it would be advisable to get an image such as Idealscope for this stone so we can check out the quality of the light return, is it for sale online or from a store? I would personally advise getting some images to verify how well the proportions work together.

Thanks for the info. I'm talking with a saleperson in another state through email. She has found the diamond through one of her suppliers. She asked about the bruise being visible and verified that the diamond has a 30-day return policy. Her supplier sent a picture, but it is so small that it isn't much use. I'm having problems with the upload feature on this site due to security features in my browser, and it won't let me post images from other sites. please add this to the end of photo bucket's url: /albums/mm289/cheezmunky07/round_zpsca5e8e76.jpg
