Hey everyone-

Just want to put in a request for some weather and anti-drama dust for this weekend.

I'm getting married on Saturday, and beside the crazy busy rush of finishing school work (I'm currently in grad school) and moving my stuff into the new apartment, everything seems to be falling into place and ready to go. BUT I just got a message from my very good friend who is supposed to be playing cello for our ceremony (she's fabulous and has been playing weddings since high school), that she is concerned about the weather. She is in grad school up in Chicago area and will be travelling back here (Cincinnati) on Friday night, but they are predicting a blizzard with 18+ inches of snow up there on Wednesday. So she's worried about how well it'll get cleared by Friday for her to leave. If she doesn't make it, I'm going to have to put together some music on a CD at the last minute, not to mention one of my best friends won't be there :blackeye:

Anyway, nothing we can do but wait and see how it goes. Thanks to everyone on this forum for providing inspiration and encouragement through my wedding planning, even though I don't post very often!

Aww, here's hoping she makes it down to Cinci for your wedding. If not...hope you either have a backup plan or are ok with improvising. Either way, you want your friend to be safe. I am sending you positive vibes for a wonderful wedding no matter what. :appl:

Happy weather wedding vibes!!! Here's hoping that everything gets cleared up in time! Stupid weather!

One suggestion, if I may. Take the time to think about it and do the CD of music now. That way fate can laugh at you for wasting the time when your friend has no problem and arrives safely on Friday.

*DUST*

Best wishes for a beautiful wedding day!

Loads of dust for you

I second preparing your CD now, just in case....

+1. I find the more prepared and ready to execute the back-up plan I am...the less likely I am to need it!

Lots of dust to you and your friend! As a thought, does she have any electronic recordings, or any equipment to make one in the case that she gets snowed in? That way you could still have her music, and a little bit of her spirit, there with you on your special day!

Best wishes for a beautiful wedding!
