I went to a local jeweler and he said that they couldn''t order the ring, but that they could make a similar one (or just make a wax to find out if it would be nice). He suggested that it was bad to just buy the ring because it might not look good on my girlfriends hand, or that it might not fit well, or something like that.

I think he was just trying to make a sale for himself.

What do you guys think of this ring? I would love to buy this for my GF and put a nice diamond on it (round/1.2/vs1/d).

the d vatche x-prong is quite a popular choice for a setting, and u can actually purchase the ring-only online from this store.

i am unsure if u can purchase it from the company itself through their website, but it wouldnt hurt to check.

hope this helps :D

Big Toque,

There are many places to purchase this style ring and vendors who carry the line.

A few off the top of my head...

Whiteflash, GoodoldGold, and other certified dealers...

Do a search and shop around...

As far as the jeweler..It sounds as if he was looking out for his best interest and pressuring you to go with a custom piece. Custom fabrication brings a higher profit margin over offering an already established setting from an established vendor. It definitely sounds like he was out to make more money for himself instead of finding an avenue for you to take in offering you the name brand setting...

Just my 2 cents....
