Yeah! My Sphene has been set! It''s 3.99ct in a LOGR setting. Here are some photos:-

My Mum took me out into the snow - I was so cold I wasn''t going to show her my fire

She felt sorry for me so put me on her hand ............ but she was cold too! I wish she''d take me inside ........

That''s better. I''m inside now so I''ll show you my fire (see I AM warm)!

Here''s my new jacket

I like the diamonds on my shoulders

I''m showing off now because I''m really warm!

The last one - amazing dispertion that''s so difficult to capture in a photo.

Wow, very pretty. Makes me want a sphene!

Ooh it just pops in that setting! Great choice.

LD,
What a fun ring. You have your very own Christmas tree in a ring!! Lovely!!

Lovely sparkly, LD! Merry Christmas!!!

Awesome color and fire! I''d be hesitant about wearing the ring, though, because I wouldn''t want to damage the stone!

Life''s too short to worry about things like that. Gemstones are for wearing and enjoying. A bit of care is necessary obviously but it shouldn''t preclude somebody from wearing one of nature''s beauties! I have a number of Sphene rings and haven''t damaged any of the years! Go on, get one and play!!!!

Oh, wonderful stone! I think the cut really suits the material. And the setting sets it off perfectly! Nicely done.

Beautiful stone. And the color is wonderful, so delicate. What is its origin?

Mmm, sphene...where did you find this beauty?

It''s a beauty!!

Wow I like all the different colour flashes.

Crasru - this one is from Madagascar.

Monkeypie - I bought it from Multicolour. I was looking for a Sphene for somebody else, came across this and it was a no brainer, it had to be mine!!!!

I think most people know this but Sphene is a nightmare to photograph. My camera in particular tries to wipe out all the dispersion and in person most Sphenes sparkle like mad and the multi-coloured fire is breathtaking. What''s different about this gemstone (and again, you honestly can''t see it in these photos) but in natural daylight it''s a perfect "in yer face" lime green!!!! Most Sphenes have more of a hint of yellow or brown or both.

I love the dispersion plus the lack of brown/honey which many sphenes show. It''s my favourite colour for sphenes: Green!

Very festive and I love the multicolour sparkles, I think I need to get a pretty Sphene.

Very pretty!

I signed in just to tell you how great this is, LD.

WOW

And the setting is totally perfect for it. It showcases the sparkle, carries it, compliments it and continues it (is that enough

. Superb.

Oh, and I totally agree with this:
