I''ve always enjoyed browsing the shinies on Ebay but have never dared take the plunge and actually bid on something! However I''ve been snooping around for a pair of bezel set studs like my claw set ones and roughly around the same size (.15ct each) to wear when I have my bezel set pendant on... well I HAVE to co-ordinate, don''t I?!

I spotted these cuties and snapped them up, for a fraction of the ones I''d seen at any jewellers! Here''s a pic of them with my claw set ones they are (both pairs are .30ctw). I plan to alternate them with my claw set ones in my second hole, because I like dangly earrings in the first hole. Aren''t dey just da tootest?? They''re G-H, SI2.

I came across these too and they were really pretty... and had no bids which was even better

So I snaffled these too, for next to nix! They''re 14k yellow gold with .16ctw of diamonds.

And THEEEEEN... I spotted this sparkly pretty! I''ve been hankering after a pear shaped solitaire diamond pendant for ages now (well, since I saw Bagpuss'' one!!!) and got this for a fabulous bargain price. I''m RAPT with it. It''s a G, SI1, .40ct pear cut solitaire (but looks at LEAST half a carat!) in 14ct white gold. I''m going to get my jeweller to remove the bale at the top and replace it with a yellow one, but keeping the setting itself in white. The pictures don''t do it justice at all, it''s ICY white and pretty firey! It''s getting late in the evening so my outdoor pics are a bit dull, I''ll nab a few better ones when the sun is out one day! I might get a nice snake chain to wear it on, I think the curb chain I have it on now is too heavy for it. All in good time. Hey, I might even find one on Ebay!

I really love my little pear, it''s just what I had in mind. I think I''d better lay off Ebay for a while, it''s so addictive! Thanks all for looking!

susi - I agree, definitely!! I was really surprised to see how much bigger than .40ct it actually looks in person! Compared to my .41ct solitaire RHR it looks massive!!

oshinbreez - they''re from 3 different sellers. I don''t think I have the details of the earrings sellers anymore, but I still have the details of the pendant seller. Is it OK to mention Ebay sellers here?

Thanks lizz!! It''s nice to find somewhere where my (our

I have bought thru ebay before, but only for vintage star wars stuff for the hubby & kids, but I have never got the nerve up to do a diamond! You definately must spill the beans, and let us know who is ok to buy from!

I have purchased two rings on Ebay. I bought a three stone 1 CTW four years ago for my girlfriend, and I just bought a 3.6 CTW with a 1.35 Asscher cut main stone (VVS1, E) three ring wedding set from the same buyer, highclassjewels. He is the only one I trust, because I know he delivers what he advertises. My pics won''t upload, sorry...

The only bad thing about his rings is that the majority of them are not certified. I just bought the asscher and had 5 different jewelers look at it/ test it, etc. and they all agreed that it was likely what was described. I am looking for independent appraisers now. I paid $5500 for the Asscher set and $580 for the three stone. This was significantly less expensive than the brick and mortar jewelery stores. I would prefer to buy locally, but there is just too much mark up in the local stores. I only buy on Ebay.
