After deliberating about a possible ring setting for two and a half years, I have decided to go with my instinct and first love - a bezel. I had spent the last four years dreaming about a Leon pave number, but realized the look just wasn''t "me". At least not for the EC.
One day on a way to a restaurant I walked into a jewelry store whose website I had seen online, and I loved everything about it. The diversity of jewelry I am not used to seeing all in one place: platinum, white gold, high carat yellow gold, semi-precous stones, diamonds, ethic styles, antique rings, modern rings and lots and lots of bezels. Within seconds I saw a ring that was "me". It was very similar to my yellow gold/saphire bezel, but this one was with a diamond. I almost instantly made up my mind that this was the place where I would get my diamond set.
I didn''t follow the protocol for custom work at all, I was too excited about the fact that I was finally able to make up my mind! After thinking about it for a week I showed up at the store with my diamond in hand and a couple of pictures and asked them to just do it. I knew exactly what I wanted, so it took us only a week and a couple of emails to work out the dimensions and details.
Before I parted with my diamond, I took some pictures as I may never see it naked again. I realize that most of the photographs look almost exactly the same, but I just love the step cuts, so I photographed it with different backgrounds.
I will ask the admin. to post them. Thanks for looking.
