This is nerve racking! I ordered through netbride.com, but I am so nervous about everyone''s sizes.

My sister is like me and has a really big waist in comparison to the rest of her.. Her bust is a size 6, and her waist is between a 14-16. I ordered the 14..

My best friend is pregnant, but will have her babies before the wedding, we ordered her dress two sizes bigger than her current measurements, so she should be OK

My FSIL is a PITA and never actually told me her measurements, but her mom told me to order her a two, but was acting all nervous like it might be too small, so I ordered her a four. I think the four will be fine for her, proably too big! but now I''m nervous about telling them that I ordered the bigger size (Even though my FMIL is the one doing the alterations!)

And then my good friend who lives far away was exactly a size 4 for every measurement of her body (darn her for being a perfect fit to the size chart.. who DOES that?!). I ordered her the 4.. because since she lives far away, my FMIL is not going to be able to do her alts and I don''t want to make her pay to have it taken in a lot if she didn''t need it. So hopefully the size charts are accurate!

I''m so excited, but so nervous at the same time..

Congrats! I am having the girls order by Nov. 15. Isn''t it exciting!?

YAY!!! I am ordering our bm dresses next week from Netbride too!!

I think you did the right thing on sizes. If your FSIL says anything, blame it on the manufacturer or something! Just say "They must have sent the wrong size, but gee, isn''t it good they sent it too big so it can be altered rather than sending a 0 that might be too small? Plus, too late to send it back..."

ROTFL, teebee. Great idea!

I''m sure the dresses will look smashing & you can always alter them if they don''t fit perfectly!

Oh, how exciting!!!!!!

That''s exciting. It''s nice to have someone who is a good seamstress that can do alterations for you. It saves a lot of money and you know exactly how and what she does to alter it (I am a lil bit of a control freak with little details

MelissaSue, congrats on the bridesmaid dresses! Where are the pics?

LOL MelissaSue,
I seem to share your anxieties. Every time I make a decision I freak out.
I''m sure everything will work out great with your bridesmaids. If the dresses are too big, everyone will feel
good about themselves, they''ll be altered down by your FMIL, and everyone can have a good laugh.
If they were too small, people would feel bad and fat...alterations would be harder.
No worries!

Jelly- I thought everyone had seen my bridesmaid dresses already! Hehe..
But I guess I should add them to this thread
They are Jordan style 787
Colors will be light pink w/black trim. As shown

MelissaSue, I ordered my BM dresses from netbride too!! It was nerveracking deciding on sizes, but I just made sure I ordered to the largest measurement and hopefully worst case senario, they are all too big and can just be altered as needed.

By the way, I so LOVE your BM dress!!!

Oh I love your dresses!!!

Out of curiousity how far in advance are you all ordering the bridesmaid dresses from the actual wedding date?

LLL, thought I would just let you know that I ordered my BM dresses this week and my wedding is June 10

I ordered about 7 months ahead of time. Wedding is may 27th. They tell you to order about 6 months ahead.. but I decided to go a little early because Jordan dresses tend to take a long time, up to four months for delivery. My delivery date is February 6th, so a little less than four months.

Beware..my Jim Hjelm bm dresses took SEVEN MONTHS to come in...they quoted me 4 months..

wow, I guess I will make sure to order early!!

MS- your dresses are so cute! I am sure the sizes will work out

I will send up a small prayer for you that everything will work out just great! I think the decisions you made were quite good...good luck, I''m sure your bridesmaids will look beautiful!
