I know there''s been a thread about this, but I can''t seem to find it. What are you taking with you to your wedding/reception in case of emergencies? (i.e. needle/thread, safety pins, bandaids, hairspray, etc.) Or, really anything... emergency related or not!

Bandaids. Lube. (seiously, there is this stuff for your feet etc, to help prevent blisters Band-Aid Brand Blister Block is my fav.), Tylenol, needle and thread, shout whipes, band aids, gum or mints for fresh breath, dental floss, deoderant, WATER, ...

we ended up needing all of this with my girls!

All of the above, and also baby wipes! (unscented). They are fabulous for quick clean ups, sweaty underarms, refreshing etc. For my best friends wedding, we had pics on the beach without our shoes, and then when we went to put her $300 shoes back on, we realised they would get wrecked from all the sand and dirt on her feet. I whipped out a few baby wipes and cleaned her feet. They are really cooling and soothing too, which is nice for tired tootises. She was very appreciative

I also have packed:

antistatic spray
Immodium chewable (for the nervous runs

)
painkillers
tampons
powder
magic tape
clear nail polish
hairpins
mouthwash to freshen breath (easier than recleaning teethy pegs)
cotton buds
makeup pads

I packed all of these into a beautiful BRIGHT pink makeup case, so no-one can miss it. I will be able to say - run back to the room and grab the PINK emerg bag, and it will be easier to find. You don''t want your mother or BM spending 15 mins trying to find your non-descript bag when you are having a hair or makeup emergency

What I should have had - SAFETY PINS - in my mom''s purse.

I was chatting with a friend over the weekend, and I told her that my dad''s tux pants broke right before the first dance and NO ONE had a safety pin. She said that the same thing happened to her Dad! Neither one of us noticed and we were at eachother''s weddings, but our poor dads..

So, for the emergency kit, think about possible BP emergencies, too!

I might add a hanky/washcloth in there too for deoderant stains, makeup smudge on a dress, etc.

Did you know that unscented baby wipes are perfect for removing small stains on clothes? My mum uses them all the time, you can buy small travel packs and work better than cloths because they are already wet.

I made one for my friend''s wedding when I was MOH - and boy were we glad to have deodorant, tide stain pen, and mints. I had a ton of other stuff that didn''t get used including thread, floss, pepto chewables, feminine products, and I forget what else at this point.

I''d also do some kind of tiny snack, like some plain almonds and dried fruit, or something you can eat easily and quickly without messing up your dress. I ended up not getting lunch on my wedding day, and I was starving, nauseous and lightheaded by the time we arrived at the reception - not recommended!

Straws...so you can drink without ruining your lip stick/gloss! Or maybe I''m just sloppy.

I didn''t even think of this. I''ll have to write a list and get all of these things next week. Great idea on the snacks too AG. I was going to put a sandwich or two in the bridal car as I know that D would not be able to keep going until dinner time.

A dry sponge works WONDERS for removing deodorant stains from dresses. The more foam-like dry sponges, specifically that are cheaper than the ones with the green scrubby backing.

Definitely don''t forget the mints/breath spray! My sister told me right before we were going out that my breath was "not so great!" Luckily we had some. :) And the moment made for a pretty funny picture with my eyes going "wait..what..??"

Migraine tablets

Spare pair of shoes in case my feet ended up killing me

Compact with face powder

Thought of another, not sure if it was mentioned already--oil blotting tissues for FI

I don''t think any mentioned straight-pins yet. These are good in case the florist happens to not include them for the bouts and corsages or someone just plain loses theirs. This might be overkill but if you have any extra fabric from dress alterations then it might be good to bring in case you need to do a patch job! A damp washcloth in case you need a cool down... most everything else has been mentioned already.

Thank you so much for all the suggestions! I''m going to have to go shopping!
