Hi ladies! Longtime lurker here and I have loved peeking at all of your beautiful rings. Well, as of July 4th, I finally have my own to show off!! My wonderful fiance presented me with this beautiful ring under the fireworks on the beach. I couldn''t believe my eyes or ears!

Without further ado....I present my Simon G halo

Center: Asscher cut, 1.7 carats, H color, SI1
Setting: White gold, .68 carats of pave with 4 pink diamonds set in rose gold for each corner

Thank you gals so much!!! You''re all making my morning bright with your comments and congratulations. I''m so proud to be engaged to my wonderful honey and the ring is quite an added bonus

We spend a lot of time looking and I had picked out some of my favorites, leaving the final decision up to him to keep a little surprise for me. He spent the last 6 months making me think it wasnt going to happen for a while (we bought a house last year and both had to get new cars this winter). His plan worked and he surprised me with my favorite setting and a stone quite larger than we had looked at together.

I know it shouldn''t really matter but people have kind of been shrugging off my new treasure. I''ve gotten a lot of "Oh, that''s nice" comments. Of course I shouldnt care about what other people think/say and I was blown away which is the most important part I guess. Either way, I had a feeling I could count on you ladies here for some nice comments.
