This is a little late, and I am sorry I have just been sooo busy with work and studying for the CPA, but anyway, my wonderful fiance proposed to me Christmas night. We had all of my family at my parent''s house for Christmas dinner. After dinner I noticed that fiance was MIA and after a short hunt, realized he had gone outside with my mom. Shortly there after, my mom came in and brought my dad outside too. At this point I was jumping up and down inside because I know that this meant a proposal would be coming in the very near future.
Shortly after they came in from outside, fiance went upstairs to my bedroom to wrap a gift and of course I followed him to find out how his conversation went. It was there that he got down on one knee and proposed! After a spending a little while enjoying each other''s company and then composing ourselves before going downstairs to share the good news with my family.
He had been planning on proposing the following Saturday and had planned to take me to the restaurant we had our first date at and then for drinks at the Signature Room @ the top of the Hancock building in Chicago but said that it just felt right at the moment. It was spontaneous and just perfect and instead, we decided to go ahead with the plans he had already made to celebrate our engagement together that weekend!
Now to the ring: It is a 1.03 ct F color cushion cut stone in a halo setting... I will try to attach a few pics!
