Hi guys!

In search for an Emerald-shape diamond for the engagement ring, after my research I have narrowed it down to 4 stones. Would love your guys' opinion on each of them, so that I can make my decision with confidence!

I prefer no. 1 so far the most, it agrees best with my budget and looks eye-clean for an SI1. Any red flags on this one?

Both no. 1 & 2 have medium blue fluorescence, which I'm totally fine with as long as it doesn't affect the brilliance (had a great consultation with my jeweler about the topic, that's his view on it as well).
Nr. 2 is the only one with an ASET.

No. 1:

No. 3:

No. 4:

Thank you all so much!! Really excited to be at the end of the process soon !

Cheers

I dont like 2 or 3. 1 is by far my favorite, but I wish the middle facets weren't all "off " at the same time when it moved.

Edit. I got stones confused. I like 1 and 2 and dislike 3 and 4.

Well, my favorite is #2 even though it does look like it has a few leaky steps (which show up on the aset). It just looks like
a more lively stone to me.

#1 looks lively but looks like it has a few more leaky steps than #2. I'm not picking up on the "all off" steps in the middle that
@lovedogs is speaking of. To me when a step is "off", its all black. When its on, it is white and reflecting light nicely. If its a grayish
step and its not doing much then it doesn't have a good angle and may be leaky. @lovedogs may have a different definition than
mine (we all have our ways of evaluating fancies)!

#4 light is sort of sliding in instead of stepping in. Doesnt seem as lively to me.

#3 light is sort of half sliding and half stepping. So not as lively to me as #1 and #2.

I get budgets and all so maybe #1 is a good choice for you. Just telling you what I see when I look at the stones.

I trust @tyty333 more than myself when it comes to fancy cuts, so I looked again and realized I was getting 2 confused with 3, and 3 confused with 4. This is why using my phone is a mistake sometimes.

I like both 1 and 2, and dont like 3 or 4. I dont feel strongly about 1 vs 2, because to my eye they are similar in how they perform. But again, I'm not a step cut expert so I think if @tyty333 and others see reasons to choose 2 over 1 then thats something to seriously consider.

@lovedogs & @tyty333 thank you both for your help!

I just ordered No. 1 + a pave 18K white gold setting. Fingers crossed!!

I live in Australia, wonder how long it will take until it arrives, I already can't wait haha... Anybody else have international shipping experience with James Allen?
