Received my upgraded e-ring on Monday morning. We are both thrilled with it beyond words, it truly is a stunning stone. I was going to have the band re-set (as per my previous post) but now I'm not so sure - I'm partial to solitaire settings, so will have to give it more thought.

Gorgeous stone! - and honestly the solitaire setting is so perfectly executed (look at those corners!) and the whole set looks so elegant on your finger, I'd be inclined to keep it as-is rather than re-set... Congrats on your upgrade!

Yeah, I'm 5'9" so have long fingers and of course larger sized fingers.

I already told DH to start saving for our 25th (if not earlier)

It looks beautiful on you 2LB!!! I love the setting - how tailored and classic it is and it really looks HUGE on your hand!!!

I'd live with it for a while and see if the simplicity of your lovely plain band isn't the most perfect for it. What would you go for if you were to do a blingier band???

Hmmm That's a pretty sweet blingier band!! Lovely!! BUT... why not get that as an eternity band to wear as WELL as the classic setting you have? My thinking would be this: you just received this (ABSOLUTELY STUNNING) upgrade that is a classic timeless design. You have the plain band for when you want to be subtle and tastefully understated. If you were in the 'lets bling it up' mood, I'd slip on an eternity band in that style (or another eternity style of your choice) and keep that as a separate entity. That way, you have the high bling and low bling days! Yup, that's what I'd do!!!

And as an aside, I LOVE my princess 3 stone. I love it, the profile, the design, the diamonds... and I love love LOVE my IDJ 1/2 eternity band. VERY happy with the sparkle and fire in that ring - has to be one of my favourites and it's not at all expensive in comparison to others! BUT - here's the thing - sometimes I wish I hadn't combined the 2 diamond shapes ... (ooops, I said it outloud!)

BUT - here's the thing - sometimes I wish I hadn't combined the 2 diamond shapes ... (ooops, I said it outloud!)
