Eternity band design help please!

I bought the 3.95ct, G, VS (avg 3.9mm square each stone) parcel of 10 french cuts that JBEG just listed. I want a band but need help in deciding on the design. It won't be a full eternity, most likely 3/4 which is fine with me. I am going to have JBEG do it with their bench, it just makes better sense to do this for warranty, repairs, etc in the future.

Which of these do you like best, #1 or #2?

I guess it depends on how you are going to wear it. #2 is very similar to the band on your VC Sophie setting and, unless you are planning on wearing them together, do you want to have two rings that are so similar? If it is going to be a stand-alone ring, I would personally choose #1 for its uniqueness and how absolutely beautiful it is.

I totally agree with what you say. Now that you mention it being similar to my VC Sophia, I really need something a little different.

That parcel is to die for! So glad it went to a PS member. I too love design #1--it is unique and will show off those beautiful French cuts beautifully and the design makes a perfect stand-alone ring.

#2!!! it is versatile and classic! I feel like I would eventually tire of #1, though it is beautiful.

With #1, I could use them all because of the bezel and it would be on the end where it would not be seen. It also has small single cut diamonds inset between the frenchies.

I think total width of the band would be about 5.5-6mm.

Too late to vote, but I'm glad you picked the one I would have voted for! That is a GORGEOUS design! I love that antique feel with the princess cuts set on point and the smaller RB's as well as the milgrain detail. OMG - that is going to be a work of art! How soon before we get hand shots???

JBEG's bench is going to hand forge it in platinum, engraving on the sides of the shank, milgraining on both sides too.
The parcel of stones is going Fed Ex overnight to the bench. Once he looks at them and the design choice, Grace will get feedback. He will do a CAD just to make sure I approve the final design before he gets started.

As far as when I will get it and hand shots, I have a little secret that I won't share just yet

Well, this one definetly threw a wrench in some of the other projects. I now have to regroup and see if I can do anything else right now. Something WILL have to go on hold for a while Some things you have to grab before someone else does (learned that the hard way YOU know) and I felt this was one of those. The other projects can simmer for a while.

Anyways, on to more fun topics....your jewelry collection. Seriously-I need a look at it! From what we have seen on here, I can only imagine what the whole collection looks like! Plus I need some eye candy to drool over until I get my ring.

Thanks Diamondseeker. I was hoping you would give your opinion. The moment I found it during my search, I just knew it was THE ONE. I think it suits this parcel of stones. The stones set in this manner should work out almost perfectly to give me a full band with a sizing bar.

I know the channel set band is a timeless piece but I wanted an unusual statement piece that lends to the art deco period that french cuts are known for. I think this will do it
