I don''t usually wear them together since the band is a little too wide and thick for the ering.

Wow, Carebear! Do you have the specs on that baby! I love it on your hand, great coverage.

What a beautiful ring. Upgrade policies are awesome. For me, DSS sets in quickly.

Beautiful eternity band and perfect as a stand-alone! Which setting is that? I like that it has minimal metal.

Thanks everyone!

Baby Monster, Pixley: It's a 3.1ctw with 16 stones, 19 pt, F-G VVS-VS, size 4.5. It was actually a 2 step upgrade process.
The original was a 7 pt 1.57ctw. I upgraded that to a 2.55ctw 15pt but I ordered it in a size too small. My 7pt one was fine in a 4.25 but 15pt one was way tight due to the extra width! Anyways, DSS conveniently kicked in in the week that I had it. Didn't help that I stared at it every minute of the day.

So I decided it's just less hassle down the road to just get a band that looked "big" and not looked "just right".

neatfreak: SP allows you to upgrade if you double the price of your current eternity band. Which is ultimately why I decided to go for the bigger stones now. I don't think I can double the price of a 15pt one, EVER!

diamondseeker: it's their standard band, not the Raphael setting. I did notice that this one was a lot more "open" on the side than the 15pt band. This one looks more like a U-prong. The prong are slightly on the big side compared to the Memoire ones, probably due to the lack of metal else where and thus the need to secure the stones better? I LOVE the side profile!

Love it!!

it''s gorgeous....

That is one stunning eternity band, it glows on your finger!!

It''s just perfect.

Beautiful! I think it looks great paired with your E-ring.

Hi Carebear,
Your new band is simply stunning. I personally like the bigger stoned wedding band with a solitaire.
I am looking at a very similar wedding band, 10pters though but similar: very low profile and minimal metal. My solitaire is also a knife edge (2.06 ct). You mentioned that you may not wear the two rings together, but do you think the two styles can be worn together without damage? I''d love your advice.
I''ll say it again; your set is DIVINE.

Thank you!

Wow, I am drooling! I think those look great together!

Just GORGEOUS! Your ering is gorgeous too!

Anika,
I checked my set and the girdle of the eternity band''s stones does touch the solitaire''s prongs. I haven''t worn my ering with my eternity band enough to see any damage to the prongs but I do remember multiple folks on PS mentioning that the eternity band will leave a mark on the prongs after a while. Some people aren''t bothered by this but I know I would be so I only wear them together on special occasions. Also depending on the size of the stones and how low they sit, the point of contact will be different. If it''s low enough, it may only touch the shank and not the prongs. With my previous 7pt band, the stones only rubbed against the part where the prongs meets the shank and did leave a tiny scratched area on the platinum but I''m pretty sure that can be polished out. I also read somewhere on PS that Memoire bands are designed such that the point of contact will only be metal to metal? But you aren''t going to see the minimal metal side profile.

Stunning!!!! Thanks for sharing!
