I can''t believe it is coming around so fast. Just four and a half weeks, exactly one month from tofay, my FI and I become man and wife.

I feel jittery. I am THE most impatient person I know and I have been waiting for this day to arrive for over five years now, We never planned on such a long engagement, but life threw a few curveballs our way.

To everyone who is married now:

How did you feel once you hit the one month to go marker? How much more organising did you have to do? Were you anxious? Were you calm? Excited? Impatient? Bridezilla?

To those who have around one month to go:

How are you feeling now? What do you have left to do?

Our progress:

-Invites sent
-Most RSVP''s returned
-Reception details arranged
-Centrepieces half made
-Bouquets/buttonholes ordered
-Dress bought/accessories bought
-Groom''s suit purchased
-Bridesmaids/maid of honours dresses purchased (some more than once due to growing girls)
-Reception decorations bought
-Final dress fitting booked
-Honeymoon booked
-Cake ordered

Still to do:

-Book hair trial
-Book make up trial
-Attend final dress fitting
-Finish centrepieces
-Finalise numbers and food orders for reception
-Create playlist for reception
-Buy gifts for bridesmaids/maid of honour/best man
-Practise walking in heels!!!
-Meet with photographer to discuss photo requirments
-Make packing list for honeymoon and make sure we have passports etc ready! (I lost my passport the day before we were dur to go on holoday once...safe to say we missed the holiday and the bloomin'' thing turned up two weeks later!)

I''m sure there are plenty more things to add to each list but that''s a general snapshot of where we''re up to currently.

Hi merrymunky.

we have about 5 weeks to go. to be honest, we are bored. almost everything is already arranged so now we just have to wait for the day to come. that''s why we planned a week''s trip to Las Vegas first week of Aug - something to do and make the time pass!

all I have left to do is buy the cake topper (which I will do at the airport on way to Vegas), finalize the seating plan (just waiting on 2 final RSVPs), pick up my dress and fly to South Africa (where our wedding is).

good luck with all the things you have left to do - at least some of them are fun! like hair and make up trials!

I know what you mean about being bored. I keep saying that I wish the day were here already and then my FI shhots back at me that I shouldn''t wish the time away and enjoy it.

ENJOY THE AGONY OF WAITING???

I think he must be crazy!
