Exam/moving week

Anyone else have exams coming up? I''ve got them all starting tomorrow and we''ll be moving all this week. Fun, fun, fun for me!

Though, the good news is at least this is the last week of the semester, then I have all summer...to find a job. I really can''t find a bright side to this.

You know, I should really be studying for these exams instead of posting about them. Darn this PS addiction.

My exams don''t start until the 5th... ugh and I don''t even want to think about moving. Luckily our lease doesn''t expire until the end of June so we have awhile to pack. I am embarrassed because of how much stuff I have... and I hate moving because I moved every 3 years growing up. Have you started looking for jobs yet? I have been looking but I haven''t really applied yet because I don''t live where I will be working and my car isn''t dependable enough to drive 8 hours round trip to an interview and back to school too many times. I totally understand the PS addiction though... I am on here when I should be working on my microbial analysis paper/presentation due tomorrow

I am kind of worried about entering the "real world" though! What field are you going into?

Xchick03- I have the same things to look forward to yippee! But like indecisive my exam week starts the 5th, my last two finals are the 11th, graduation is the 13th and I have to leave that night to drive to GA to see my grandparents for a few hours and then drive to NJ drop off most of my stuff, drive to ROC drop of V, and then back to NJ to start work at 5am on Monday the 15th....It is going to be awesome!
Oh no, that''s right this is not going to be a good time at all.
Luckily I am an odd ball and have my things organized in Tupperware containers, and Jeffrey gets here on Friday the 12th and is going to help me pack whatever needs to be pack still. But since my family is flying in on the morning of graduation and will leave right after I cannot start packing my car until after they are gone.
Oh well all the moves we made when I was growing up have well prepared me for this.
I am just so glad that I only have two more weeks of class and then exams, I am so close I can taste being done!

about 30 pages of my senior thesis, a 15 page french paper, 2 exams (one on my birthday, poo), stand between me and that dratted diploma. Also packing. Drat it.

The surprising thing is that FI has announced he would much rather I live with him for the summer wherever he gets a job than not. I told him I can not way garantee finding a respectable summer gig on two weeks notice in a strange city, but he said not to worry about it. I feel a bit strange about the whole thing still. He suggested if I could not find anything to volunteer somewhere where I would like to work and then the summer after I return from Morocco I could probably get a job there, or would at least have connections.

I'm glad we're engaged, I still get the willies about him supporting me, even if I do all the cooking and cleaning to put some exchange in. Anyone else looking at this?

Matatora: Oh my lord honey! *pat* Just remember it will be over soon. Does your job in NJ mean that you and V will be close next year?


ETA: I flatly detest moving. I want to live in the same place for more than six months. Argh. XChick03, what sort of jobs are you searching for?

Ugghh...next week is moving out for me...from Wednesday till next Thurs I have 4 stupid law finals.

At least I''ve already turned in my ''upper level writing requirement''....ARGH hate exams!! Haven''t even started packing yet..ok need to study!

Glad I''m not the only one! Princess, I''ve got law finals too. One everyday this week.

And this is just my first year, two more to go.

We''ve just started packing today and we''re getting the Uhaul tomorrow. Nice, huh?

We still have a lot of stuff to do, but Peter is currently napping. Though, when we moved down here, we had to pack his apartment and move it all in one day. So we have to pack and drive it all back to Charleston tomorrow and then come back Wednesday to clean the apartment until its spotless or they''ll charge us outrageous amounts of money. Plus, we''re moving into my great-grandmother''s house because she''s currently living my aunt and she''s the biggest packrat ever, so I have to clean her place a lot too. And I really hate cleaning. Almost as much I hate studying.

And rainbow, I know what you mean about him supporting you. When Pete and I moved here like 6 months ago, I knew I''d pretty much have to live off of him and that bothered me a lot. But two months after we moved here, we got engaged and I do my share of taking care of him and our place, so it doesn''t really bother me anymore. I was so against it at first until he told me one day I''ll be having his kids and taking care of them while having a job, and he wants three kids, so I should be allowed to relax a little now.

On the positive side, my birthday is next Monday and Pete starts his job then too. And I think he''ll like it a lot more than his previous one. As far as me getting a job, I''m not really qualified for anything yet. I think I am just going to try and get a job in a vet''s office. I have some experience with that and I love working with the animals. At least until I get my law degree.

Mat, I feel for you. That''s a lot to do in a few days! We moved around a lot when I was a kid too, so I am kind of used to it but it still sucks.

Good luck Princess, and you too XChick03. Just remember, law school exams pale next to the bar exam!

I''m scared to death of the bar exam.

The LSAT was a piece of cake, of course it was just about basic stuff. But I''ve heard horror stories about the bar. My favorite professor, a judge now, had to take it twice and he''s positively brilliant. I''m glad I have a few more years.

Thankfully I finished my law exams last Thursday (seems like my school is on a much earlier schedule than its American counterparts). I am currently packing to go back home for my summer position. I am leaving on Wednesday, so I have lots of work left to do!!! I have a wedding on Saturday and then I start work on Monday. No rest for the weary I guess
