#JOTW Extreme makeover: Emerald edition

I posted this over in colored stones but thought you folks might be interested too.

The emerald is 3.33cts. I bought the original ring from a Dover Jewelry's ebay auction with the intent of resetting the emerald. The new setting is 18k yellow gold w/ white gold band and is made by Andrew Sarosi.

Holy Moly....the before picture looks like the emerald was having a "bad hair day". The makeover is incredible, for sure an extreme makeover. I love the choice of yellow gold to showcase the emerald. It's hard to believe it is the same stone. What a beautiful "after" design. I it!

I'm really pleased with how it turned out especially since I basically handed over my emerald and said something like 'make me a ring something like this one over here' and just let them run with it.
