So, given my little freak-out, I was poking around and found a book called ''Emotionally Engaged'' that''s about the feelings and tensions you''re likely to have while you get ready (inwardly) to be a married woman. It was SO HELPFUL! So I thought I''d recommend it to you guys.
It focuses on the ''rite of passage'' aspect of marriage and how that can upturn up your relationships with parents, siblings, friends, etc. and sheds lots of light on the weird wedding related behaviour so many of us seem to report!
I thought it was pretty insightful, and was so relieved to discover that my confusion is pretty normal and even healthy. She gives lots of ''tests'' to see if your cold feet or feelings of sadness or fear mean ''RUN!'' or are just you adjusting to a new identity, etc.
ANyway, I thought it was very good and recommend it.
