Hi all, I’d love to get your opinions/experience on prong setting pendants. I want to repurpose my original engagement ring that’s a WF Expert Selection 1.22 G SI1 ct. Here are my goals:

1) floating look
2) thinking a rose gold chain and white gold prong
3) minimize flipping
4) minimize riding up on my neck
5) don’t want the culet poking me
6) adjustable chain with different jump rings

I may need to go custom and that’s ok. While I do like some of the look of bezels, I really do prefer prongs. I don’t have any great inspiration pics so if you have yours, please post!

Thanks all!

post some images of what you like and especially what you do not like please

One of the settings I consider often for my stones is this one (from Stuller), but several PS-preferred jewellers can produce similar mounts for you with your custom preference of white mount on a gold chain (I love that combo).

Thanks I really like this sliding version! And with having the prongs made more delicate I think this could achieve the look I’m thinking of.
The open back looks big enough to minimize flipping as well.

Rabbit ears join is better than sliding to stop tipping. But rabbit not mickey mouse.
If you're hooked on sliding choose a fine snake chain as the links will never slide.
