Hi, everyone~ Do you think a .75 ct 60/60, diameter 5.82-5.85 can be recut into a ideal mrb or oec? And worth it?

actual numbers?
Typical 60-60 would end up .5x ct or so.

Thx Karl, may lose the gia cert. but as I recall, part of the no. should be very close to:

Table 60
CH 13
Depth 59.x

Edit: VS2 with feather being one of the inclusions, may affect, not sure

I would think the diameter may be obviously reduced, considering the proportions and as .75 is originally not anything big. Want to explore the chance there though.

Would it turn out even smaller for oec?

The diameter would have to be reduced significantly to get the crown at an angle larger than 13 and the table smaller than 60 and the depth more than 59. Perhaps look for a .6 - .75 OEC and keep that one in a pendant?

I don't think it's worth it. It sounds like a good pendant stone as it is.

Thx and understood there’s more direct way to get some bling new^^

oec is out but what some peaple call a transitional cut might be possible.

Transitional, per what I saw on PS, I like the pattern, it looks different from mrb~Sometimes I feel good cut mrb is really sparkly, but hard to appreciate its facet pattern.

However, I am actually curious a small stone under 1ct, could we really differentiate mrb, oec, or “transitional”?

Sure can even down to small melee like 5 pointers depending on vision.

A well proportioned 60:60 of that size works better as a pendant than a typical ideal cut.

Thx Gary and got u guys advice. Sounds I better leave the stone as it is~
