I love this ring, but am not familiar with the vendor, antiquejewelryforsale.com. I also wanted a princess cut diamond. Does anyone know of a similar setting online? I am really partial to leaf motifs. Have checked Beverley K collection.

I found a similar setting on Whitehouse Brothers, but have no idea on price. Do they run high in general?

Would appreciate any help!

First thing first....

FYI..., Princess Cut Diamonds do not match the "Antique" era....

HI Misysu2. I too have a fondness for leaf and floral motifs! I think it is so neat to have metal (usually something that is cold, hard, and industrial) be formed into shapes found in nature. So enchanting! Beverly k is fantastic, but I have heard that Whitehouse brothers rings are not as impressive in person. You can read about it here in this older, but interesting story about an engagement ring hunt. Below are also links to my wedding set and my fiance's band by Van Craeynest. They make their jewelry like it was made hundreds of years ago...die struck, not cast, and hand carved, chased and engraved. This company makes lots of stuff with leaves and flowers:

As far as prices go, I am not sure. You would really have to call and find out because the prices depend on the metal you choose. Hope that helps!

P.S. a note about the princess stone...asscher to me is more traditionally antique-y looking, but I didn't hesitate to put my modern cut into an antique style setting. The only thing I would worry about are those corners on a princess (prone to chipping). I would suggest a cornerless radiant instead!

I love this setting from Whiteflash, but am worried about the height. Seems like it would be uncomfortable and get in the way a lot. I also hesitate using Fay Cullen after hearing about her customer service and bad return policy.

Hmm...I see what you mean about the height on that WF ring. I wonder if they could do a custom job for you with the same motif? I have never purchased from WF (hope to someday

) but there are a lot of ppl here who have had rings made by WF and are very satisfied. Hopefully they will chime in b/c I know they are out there.....

I''m sure WF would work with you on a custom setting. They are w*o*n*d*e*r*f*u*l to work with!

How much more expensive is it to get custom jewelry done by Whiteflash? We are on a budget, but would be willing to buy setting and diamond from them.

Thanks for the help everyone!

I knew I''d seen something similar in an old thread of Sumbride''s, and I just found it. She saw a ring with a leaf motif on Blue Nile and was asking for similar styles.

Here is the Blue Nile ring: https://www.pricescope.com/idealbb/files/DM36501600_OV_125_zoom.jpg

And here is a Mark Schneider ring with more of an antique look: https://www.pricescope.com/idealbb/files/bridal-group8-big3.jpg

Here''s a link to the Mark Schneider page where that ring and similar ones can be found: Mark Schneider
Finally you might want to check out Antiqueengagementrings.com. They have a pretty good reputation around here.

I would tap Maytal Hoffaman (do a search for Maytal) for any antique-y custom project.

I would call and ask for a qoute. Also Tacori has a LOT of settings that you should look into.

Here is an example of Maytal''s work. And the tread also has her website information.

Gypsy is right.......Maytal is awesome!!!!!! Contact her at the link she gave you. Brand name settings are fine, but a Maytal custom setting is one of a kind and no one else in the world will have one like yours!!!!

Her work is second to none and the quality of her work is exquisite!! I know, that is my ring in the link that Gypsy gave you.

Thanks for the plug Gypsy,

Custom prices at Whiteflash are very reasonable, I think. The custom price I was charged for my e-ring setting was half as much as a similar setting that I liked. The best thing to do is e-mail them photos of settings along the line that you''re looking for and go from there. (I worked with Sheerah and she is great-I highly recommend her!)

It''s so funny that you posted those-- I just found them too!

I am now deciding between the Mark Schneider Adore ring or the Whiteflash Filigree ring posted above, however, shortened somehow by customizing.

Any opinions?
