Hello,
So my diamond and sapphire eternity band that I got from Blue Nile is lovely!

I’m enjoying it. But I think I may have gotten the size wrong. They can’t size it up as it will mess up the band and diamonds. It’s tight but ok as long as I don’t take it off lol
But I take it off cause your not suppose to wear it in the shower?

Also, it’s the knuckle that it gets stuck on. Am I damaging the stones prying it off every time?
Or should I just keep it on from now until eternity!!

if you just got it, will they let you exchange for a half size larger? Or was it a custom?

I would just not take it off and be careful in the shower. I wouldn’t think shampoo would hurt it as long as you rinse it off well.

I always recommend that people size up some on eternity bands. Return it if you still can. Summer with its hotter weather is just
now getting here in the U.S. and take will make it even tighter. (You're in the U.S. right?)

Return if you can and size up a little bigger than you need. Otherwise I would wear in the shower. Sapphires and diamonds will be fine in warm and hot water and with shampoo and soap. You may need to scrub it off in the sink with Dawn and a toothbrush to remove soap scum.

If you're struggling to get it off, I would return it for a larger size. My mother had a similar situation, and ended up having to have her ring cut off. I'm not trying to scare you, but I would hate for you to be in that position.

You just got it in March? Maybe you can exchange. Otherwise, I wear my rings in shower etc etc. Only time is gardening and weights. I have enlarged knuckles now that I’m older (well, no one’s getting younger). I often have to put a drop of jewelry cleaner on my finger to ease my ring over knuckle, then I just rinse off under faucet (with drain closed )

Maybe you could get it fitted with a hinged band?

Oh, sorry. I missed the part about it being an eternity band. :(

It isn't fun to spend a lot on something that doesn't work out but tbh I could not see wearing a ring that was too tight. If you can't exchange it for a larger size, maybe consider just selling it and taking the loss, then starting over. Good luck with it.

I would definitely return it if you can. It's not an antique or one of a kind so better to just return and get one perfect for you.

Also, is it just the wrong size or is your finger a bit larger than it was previously from a possibly temporary condition like weight gain or water retention? If so, that's something else to consider. It would be a shame to get a larger sized eternity band then soon discover that it's too large.

I have had a skilled jeweler polish off a little metal on the inside of eternity bands to give just a smidge more size. Other than that, I would try to return it for a larger size. I shower with my rings on often As I have larger knuckles as well.
We would love to see a picture.

I would return it. I have an eternity and slightly looser is better than just-barely-fits (especially given finger swelling and weather changes).

Sorry for the delayed response:
I just payed my first payment.
Can’t return it. Yes, it’s an eternity band. It’s not uncomfortable when wearing it. I may not in the summer lol. I’ve been wearing it in shower.
I use a bit of water, lotion and it comes off. Just the knuckle is red for a few seconds.

I strongly encourage you not to do this. You will create a problem with your finger that cannot be fixed. It just isn’t worth it. Learn from my misfortunes.

So you just made your first payment and cannot return it? Can you EXCHANGE it? Sometimes that’s not considered a return cuz they’re not out the sale. Free to ask.
