Hi all,
I purchased a 2.97 champagne mixed cut stone from Caleb Quashen a few months ago that I am potentially interested in re-homing. I have an in-house assurance from Caleb that it is from Argyle, but no official paperwork. I have no reason to doubt him, but want to be 100% up front.

It's one of the prettiest stones I've seen in a long time, but very hard to photograph because the color/tone looks different in different lighting. It ranges from a light champagne to a rose champagne depending on the light.

I took a bunch of pics of the loose stone, here: Videos here: Pics/video from Caleb: (it's the stone off by itself in the 1st pic and the one on the far left in all of the other pics).

Purchased for 2,250/ct (total 6,682), selling for 5,500 but will consider offers. Since it's a more expensive item than I sell usually I am happy to discuss options in terms of shipping, appraisal, sending to Caleb for verification and then having him send to you, etc.

Will make an LT link in a bit if there's interest, but will be putting up a bunch of listings so it might take a bit. Thanks!

what are the stone dimensions?

oh my, the color is so pretty!

agreed--I was drawn to it right away for that reason! In the end Caleb was kind enough to send me a bunch of stones to choose from since I was struggling to decide. This one just kept standing out as my favorite.

Bump, reducing to 5,250

Bump, reducing to 4,950.

I am under the impression that all Argyle diamonds are accompanied by a grading certificate that specifies grade and colour. They have their own colour classification.

Its a beautiful stone - the supplier should be able to send you a copy of the certificate, that might help.

Yeah, unfortunately all I have in his in house write up document. But at this point I think the price is fair even if for some reason it's not argyle origin, at least I hope so.

Totally agree , price is very fair. It's a very pretty stone and a colour that the mine produces. I'd like it but I'm too poor...I have to stop buying pearls :roll2:

@lovedogs, this diamond is gorgeous! Wish I could get it, but still replenishing from my last purchase.

I was led to believe that the Argyle mine also did it's own inscription on the girdle, like the GIA can/does. Have you looked for that? (I may be wrong and they only did it to certain stones. I'm sad to say I don't own any Argyle stones myself. )

No, they dont all have that, unfortunately. But I appreciate the thought !

Bump!

@IslandBB I emailed you back last week but it looks like you didnt get it. Replied again this morning. Maybe check your spam folder? Thanks!

Bumping this lovely stone!

It’s a very pretty diamond & a nice size!
Champagne Argyle diamonds are colour graded from C1(light) to C7(dark/cognac), and if it’s an Argyle diamond it should have a laser inscription.
Good luck, I’m sure your diamond will sell!

Not in the market but Just wanted to say the stone is very pretty

Have you thought about sending this to GIA for a report? I suspect there would be a lot more interest if people knew what it was more exactly. I am so tempted but I have no room on my fingers or lifestyle for a diamond that large, and I only wear necklaces occasionally.

Bump!
