Feelers - for 1.5ct P-SI1 AVC and 1.02ct N-VVS2 Moval (GIA)

I am putting out feelers to see if there's any interest in these beautiful diamonds.

1.5ct P-SI1 AVC
Since late last year I have been wearing only a wedding band and I don't see that changing, so I am putting out feelers to see if there's any interest in this AVC. It is a fantastic cushion, eye-clean, super bright, lively, and just over one-and-a-half carats (1.508 carats to be exact). The dimensions are 7.02 x 6.46 x 4.40mm.

It is currently set in a Georgian-inspired DK platinum three-stone - size 7 - the two sides are BGD super-ideal F-VS2 0.317ct (4.3mm).







I originally bought the AVC from amazing PSer D&T and am looking to recover what I paid for it -- $3800 (which includes insured shipping to the purchaser). I will have DK carefully remove the AVC to sell it loose. Purchase includes the original AGL certificate.

If anyone is interested, I am open to selling the complete ring -- please email me or give me a shout-out here and I'll calculate a price for the whole ring.


1.02ct N-VVS2 Moval
I bought this Moval just last month from DBL after eyeing it for weeks on his website. It is a very pretty diamond, super clean, with a lovely shape and a lively performance, and the open culet really adds to its personality. This is a diamond that makes you happy every time you look at it! But I am serious about downsizing my entire collection, and as I have no plans to set it, I really need to pass it on to someone who will create a lovely home for it. -- $2300 (which includes insured shipping to the purchaser). Purchase includes the original GIA certificate.

Hi prinsad!
The N-color Moval to my eyes reads as a soft cheerful light yellow ... in comparison the P-color AVC is an ivory to dark ivory most of the time ... both very beautiful but I would have guessed the reverse based on color grade and without seeing them IRL.

I am asking $6,050.00 (including USPS Priority Insured shipping) for the complete ring, which is the 1.508ct P-SI1 AVC, the 0.634ctw F-VS2 matched pair of BGD super-ideal MRBs, and David Klass' Platinum custom Georgia-inspired three-stone setting (over 7 grams metal weight). Purchase includes the original diamond certificate for each diamond as well as DK's lighted ring box.

Hey guys, I'm withdrawing the AVC and the Moval diamond -- they're no longer for sale -- I am keeping them.

Funnily enough, it took my DH to say, "why don't you just re-set the three-stone so it feels as comfortable as your wedding band?" LIGHTBULB MOMENT: YES, WHY DON'T I DO JUST THAT??? (and, why didn't I think of this already?)

So, yes, I am sending the AVC ring for a re-set, and the Moval for a setting ... both to DK ... the AVC will be dressed in 18kt YG and paired by larger sides, in this coronet setting (with a slightly wider shank)



and the Moval is really so delightful I decided to keep it and set it and wear it and love it -- it will go in a very low-profile hexagon bezel setting for a right-hand ring.

It is funny but I think I may have received more inquiries about that small side-stone pair than the items I was actually selling (the AVC loose or the complete ring, and the Moval)!

I'm actually on pause right now with these projects ... after my June 6th post above I contacted DK right away and got a label to send the stuff over to him but here it is more than three weeks later and I haven't packaged up anything ... as a norm I am very prompt and efficient in getting stuff done, so I am interpreting my non-action on this as a sign that I haven't made up my mind yet.

More than you wanted to know I am sure, but long story short, the AVC ring is still intact, and even if I were to break it down, I would keep the side-stone pair to utilize in a long-planned-for modest three- or five-stone ring project.

FWIW the side-stones in my AVC ring were actually more expensive than the comparable diamonds in BGD's current inventory! IMHO, with the 10% discount BGD is running through the end of June, you are probably better off buying direct from BGD so you have return and upgrade privileges.

This three-stone features a 1.508ct P-SI1 August Vintage ideal-cut antique-style cushion diamond, 7.02 x 6.46 x 4.40mm (AGL cert posted above), paired by a 0.634ctw F-VS2 extremely well-matched pair of Brian Gavin Diamonds super-ideal round brilliants. The ring is impeccably crafted, with fine claw prongs securing the diamonds, cut-out details on the baskets, and wheat engraving and milgrain on the shank sidewalls. Purchase of this ring includes the original diamond certificate for each of the three diamonds as well as DK's super-cool lighted ring box.
