With a heavy heart, I may be selling my dream stone/ring. I have had it almost two years, and it is just a larger stone than works in my lifestyle. It is a wildly perfect stone and therefore a hard thing to swallow about the size. I feel more comfortable in the 9mm range :cry2:. I purchased it from Adam at Old World Diamonds. He had it saved in a box for himself, but since I had had a hard time finding my dream stone, he offered to let me purchase it. He said it is the most incredible stone in the larger sizes he has ever seen. That's true! It is crisp, clear, bright, and never goes dark. It has the most amazing flower petals and shows the most gorgeous rainbow colors all the time. It is a high K and super bright. It is a once in a lifetime stone!

4.03 K VS1
10.12 x 10.15 x 6.35
46% table
63% depth

It was originally in an 8 prong setting which you can see in my introduction thread(https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/dreams-do-come-true-4-03-k-oec.245018/). I have a thing for bezels so I reset it with David Klass (twice). The first bezel was too wide for my finger- personal tastes (1 photo to show look in a wider bezel) so "KOTA" now resides in an incredible platinum delicate bezel (remainder of photos). The ring is size 5.5 (on a size 5 finger). Photos follow...

My loupe troop contact is https://loupetroop.com/listings/rings-natural-diamond-center/contact-info-for-simple-and-sparkly. It was priced at $63K when I purchased it. I am asking $43,000 before sending it to Grace for consignment. I am firm on price. Unfortunately, as a private seller, I cannot offer refunds or a "trial period". Let me know if you have any other questions or would like to see a video. Thanks and hope everyone is well =)2

Dust for a quick sale!

@Kim N
got it and responded ;)

Well I have a lottery ticket for tonight’s drawing, if I win, I will be in line for this incredibly gorgeous ring!!

@syd33 you are cracking me up!! love it

PS- I am still not finalized on my price stated above. I tried to edit my post, but my edit time had run out :roll2:. It may be a bit higher due to a couple things I am waiting to hear back on that I need to factor into the price. Thanks for your patience. I am hoping to have a solid price in the next few days ;)

Just going on the original figure of $43,000 if 43 PS'ers pitched in $1,000 we could all jointly own this amazing ring and take turns wearing it.

That way 43 people get enormous happiness instead of just one. Who's in? ;)

Then I would get to wear it 8.48 times a year!

"Insanely gorgeous" is right - I think that's the most beautiful stone I've ever seen! All the dust for a quick sale.

May I join the queue for potential lottery winner please? :kiss2:

Joking aside, good luck with the sale!

DK :))

Wow KOTA is for sale?!! I’ve ADORED your stone since you got it. Too bad I already upgraded to a 4.3 from OWD... only if we can do a trade somehow...

Me me me!!

If you’re looking for a difference of only about a mm, what if you take Kota (gorgeous stone, btw) out of the bezel setting and put it back in a prong setting like your original from Adam. That would slim it down a bit. Hope you don’t mind my offering this as a possible solution—for me, this would be a big financial loss for a relatively small potential size difference.

@Tonks I don't mind at all, I appreciate your thoughts. Yes, the loss is what I'm struggling with :cry2: - not only of the perfect stone pattern/play for me, but also the cost. About the bezel, David actually made it so that it would be the same diameter as prongs would be- its the finest bezel possible. So we don't think changing to prongs would make enough of a difference.

Thanks for all the luck everyone- this is HARD!!!!

I wonder if you could trade it back to him in exchange for a similar value in bracelet/earrings/pendant etc?

It's so lovely.

This is a great idea @Simple and Sparkly! Get a 9mm stone and make up the rest in value with a second item. Win... win. It doesn’t hurt to ask Adam.

I still vote for keeping your once in a lifetime stone.

I feel like this has regret and a sad heart written all over it.
Keep that diamond. Put it in your safety deposit box for 6 months or a year and rethink it then. Just my 2 cents :)

I think we can all feel your love for this stone when you write about it! I just wanted to chime in that I think you should keep it. Perhaps you could wear it as a pendant for a while?

@Simple and Sparkly - what a gorgeous stone!!! I just tried to email you on the address in your LT listing, but got a mail undeliverable autoreply.

What a stone indeed! KOTA is a great name
