Thinking of listing my antique sapphire ring with OEC melee and in platinum. Incredible GIA-certified rich, velvety blue unheated sapphire at the centre - has huge presence!

Would love it to go to a PS'er, so if you love it and want to know more let me know! :-)

Wow.

This is gorgoeus! Did you create a thread for the ring on PS? Can you link it here? Do you have an idea what you want for the ring?

Thank you :-)! No, I didn't create a thread unfortunately! I purchased the stone from Jogani and had the ring handmade (setting is substantial!).

I'd like to cover the cost for the stone and the setting, so looking at the $30k mark.

I have a friend who may be interested in just the center stone. Are you willing to separate them? Do you happen to know the stones measurements?

I would consider separating them, but of course I'd prefer not to. The stone measures 10.04 x 9.39 x 7.17mm. Would love to hear if you're friend is interested :-).

Very nice! :kiss2:

Wow! That is an amazing stone. Can it be removed from the halo without any damage to the gem?

Thanks, Mikla! I imagine an experienced jeweler would be able to?

From what I understand, removing a stone from a bezel involves either taking care to safeguard the stone, or taking care to safeguard the setting ... in other words, to safely remove the sapphire, the bezel/setting will be damaged somewhat; but instead if you want the setting preserved, the sapphire likely would be damaged when removed.

Thanks Marymm - good to know! I personally think the halo suits the stone so well and the proportion is perfect, but someone may want to have the stone removed, in which case, the setting would need to take the damage. Hopefully someone loves it as it is, just like I do :-)

That is really pretty :D, wishing you dust for a quick sale.

It’s so blue-tiful and best of luck on a speedy sale. May I suggest you add the size of the ring?

I've decided to go ahead and list her with JBG...so last call at the $23k mark :wink2:

Still available through JBG and price is negotiable

I'm very temped! Does the stone have any purple undertones?

Would it be possible to have more pics posted here please? In the sun in full bright daylight, indoors/shade, with flash and no flash please. Thank you.

ETA: I am only interested in the centre stone.

Your stone is gorgeous, but I just spent $$$$$ on my VCA Vintage pave bracelet. So will need to do some real thinking for a while.

Will keep an eye on this ad though.

Thanks.

I can imagine that bracelet is stunning! No problem at all, but just to tempt you a little further - I am a very motivated seller and it's being sold far lower than retail and the stone on it's own is worth a lot more than asking price . If you are interested at all, perhaps chat to Grace ;-).
