I want this bag! But I want the smaller size. This one is listed as medium. I saw the "real deal" at Neiman''s. It was $795.00.
Hubby was actually trying to convince me to get it! I have never spent more that $400.00 for a bag. But I''d love to see this as a knockoff. Does anyone know a web site that has them? I have searched a whole bunch, but can''t find it. Maybe it is too new?

As someone who has been burned, I have done a lot of reaearch and there are MANY knock-offs to be had on eBay...in fact, another astute Pscoper just told me that about 80% of the "authentic" bags on eBay are knockoffs. You can try there but usually, the knockoffs are the run-of-the-mill very common bags (like the baguette or mama styles)--the more detailed or unusual are too expensibe to knock off. I think yours may fall into this category.

You may want to consider just getting the real deal. I don't know for sure but I've read a lot of articles and seen a lot of TV news stories that fake bags are made by underpaid workers in other countries and the profits can be used to support terrorism and other illegal, violent activities... Who knows what's true or not but it is something to consider.

try Kpurse they have cute stuff and update often. If you cant find it you may even try emailing them. But I agree with Jenn If you hubby wants you to have the real deal why argue?
 
Even though DH thought it was ok to spend that much, I was hesitating. I have been buying a lot of Coach bags this year and that amount of $ was pushing it.
I think the bag is too new to be found as a knockoff. The smaller one is really nice. It looks a little heavy for summer, so maybe I''ll wait til winter. (That almost never happens here in Houston!)
 
Have you tried calling Neimans outlet stores? You owuld be surprised at what you can find if you ask aroudn a bit.
 
i think so...the prices are amazing and i can''t stop looking at the website...

they do clearly state on the website though that they are in no way a re-seller of these products on behalf of the designer stores..so a bit confusing..but at those prices and the quality of work..its not a bad bargain at all...

I just think that most of these internet places that sell designer bags for more than half off are selling 7 star/ mirror image bags. These are *super fakes* I''d be very careful. I was very tempted to go with one but last minute got bad vibes. That bag is a nice, classic bag. It''s probably well made. I say go for it.

I have been very hesitant on buying online as I am very picky and do not want a ''fake'' bag even if its a super duper fake (in the end of the day *I* know its a fake and thats all that matters)...

i do know for a fact though that www.eluxury.com ONLY sells authentic and original bags. It is also the ONLY official online seller of LV hand bags. any LV store or online website can confirm that.

So! when buying from eluxury, you can rest assured that you are definately getting an original :)

Maybe it''s just me, but I cannot imagine spending $400 on a fake bag. I''d rather pay twice this amount and get a real one OR just pass on the bag and find a cheaper one I like.

just wondering/hope so...cause I got this one in Florence several years ago for less than the Gucci''s on therw..........................(metal is silvery bright in real life!!!)

No....wondered if the ones on that website are real....mine IS real...was purchased at Gucci in Florence....a few years ago when the American dollar was strong against the Euro.....
Even saved the bag!!!!

Well, I''ve found that the sticker price is almost always lower in Europe. Usually it is still cheaper even with the weaker dollar. I know my most recent gucci was about 200E less than it was listed on US sites for in $. That, plus the tax refund, made it definitely cheaper! Plus, a great souvenier

When you look in the discount sites, make sure you find what the actual selling price would be non-discount....often I find they hike up the price to make it seem like a better deal!
 
Gucci also has outlet stores in Italy.......didn''t get there, though....
