Please post your fiance''s future wedding bands! (I know there have been past threads on this, but I''m curious as to what our current BIWs are doing). Though obviously, husbands'' wedding bands welcome as well!

After insisting he wanted a plain yellow gold rounded band for a year, I finally convinced fiance that we should try on a few rings just to get the width and size right. He ended up liking something like this from eweddingbands.com (5mm, size 8.25). The salesperson at the mall store mentioned to him that titanium is a light metal, and he decided that''s what he wants cause he thinks it''ll be more comfortable. I''m tempted to try to talk him into platinum and yellow gold instead for a variety of reasons (match my ring better, precious metal instead of airplane material, wears better), but I guess it''s his ring so I don''t know how much I should push.

Hey Basil!

My fiance ended up getting a double-row milgrain band from Tiffany & Co.,in platinum. (see post below)

size 9.25....I am unsure of how many mm's his ring is...I think 6?

I would try to go with platinum, if your budget allows. We just figured it was all around better and more durable in the long run....

I personally would let him get whatever he wants. Would you have wanted him to push you into getting a ring that wasn''t 100% what you wanted?

My FI picked a Ti wedding band too. A lot of guys just think they are the cat''s meow I guess...

This is his:

This is the pic of his ring, but he got it in platinum....Sorry for the re-post....

Thanks for posting this thread basil! We''re trying to find a wedding band for my FI also. We''re going to get it through Whiteflash but I need ideas aside from what''s on their website. I love the simple detailing on your FI''s ring, Dani. I''m trying to steer my FI towards something like that, or something with a brushed satin finish in the middle. It''s his ring though, so I''ll be happy with whatver he wants. He did say that he wanted the knife-edge ring that WF has on their website but then I pointed out that it was a girl''s ring and he changed his mind. Sorry for the thread jack.

I love that Tiffany ring, Dani!

I want him to get what he wants. But I also know that when it comes to jewelry, he doesn''t always know what''s best for him

I''m not convinced that the weight difference between a yg/titanium ring and a yg/platinum ring would really be noticeable anyway, and I think the platinum looks nicer. The price difference isn''t significant when divided out into the 50+ years we plan to be married

With some effort, I could surely convince him into getting the ring I want him to get - I have womanly wiles, afterall. But part of me feels kinda guilty about that

My FI didn''t want a ring at all until I showed him some mokume gane. He now understands my pet rock obsession!

He wants one like this, which is in platinum and iron with a platinum liner.

Thanks, Basil!!

I got this ring for myself, also from Tiffany's.....3mm milgrain band....It will be my plain band that I plan to wear to work and when I am just "lounging" around. Its cute, because it "kind of" matches his band. We got them engraved with our initials and wedding date....

But I plan to get a diamond band too, to go with my e-ring....

My fiance chose this titanium band, except with a brushed finish on the top surface (the grooves are still polished). He really likes it, and so do I !!

I personally think he should get what he wants, since he''ll be wearing it., BUT he should think about avoiding titanium because it''s impossible to resize.

For your reference:

Platinum is nearly twice the weight of gold.
Platinum is nearly five times the weight of titanium.

A pipe-cut, titanium band with a satin finish. It''s a dark grey color, and weighs practically nothing. He loves it (and it looks great on his finger):

Gary is considering this one from Whiteflash (in white gold). I tried to get him to have a platinum one but he says he prefers white gold.

FI love this one, it A Jaffe too...

ditto to ebree''s post.

my husband has the same ring from titaniumera.com. he loves it and it looks great. i was a bit worried when we ordered it since it was $55 with engraving and shipping included. we ordered it early in case we needed to find a different ring, but it''s been great. i bought a matching one for myself too that i wear at work and when we travel. it doesn''t really feel like a "replacement ring" so much since it matches his.
