Fiery, but not super-ideal diamond on B.N.

I found this kinda oddly shaped, but really nice diamond. It isn't perfectly symmetrical, but the proportions look like they work really well on the stone to be fire-y and bright. I don't have access to any more HCA - I'm sure the HCA would be abysmal, but it's a good example of a stone that shouldn't look good but does.

I love finding oddball stones that break the rules but do it well

It is close to the 5:1 proportion optimum rule. So yes it works.
The lower girdle facets are a bit too short for that pavilion angle.
And it has a spread closer to 0.60ct than 0.70ct because of the very thick girdle.

BTW you can search in the PS listing and set the GIA cut grade to VG (an still have XX sym and polish) and find lots of HCA Excellent stones (and not have to pay me a cent).

Garry addressed my concerns in post #2. Also you may get a little undesired obstruction depending on your tastes.

This scores very well on HCA actually, except the spread as already noted.
