What a wonderful ring! It looks very Renaissance to me. Could you tell us the specs., how/where you found the setting, etc.?

Its a modified Renaissance Platinum setting, all hand made. I essentially changed the sides a little and added more diamonds to the settings (approx 1.25 ct in the setting).

The center stone is 1.71 D VS2.

The ring is very ornate, E/W setting is my favorite for ovals, marquise, and rectangle shapes. A ring as big and thick/wide as that can stand alone without a wedding band! Congratulations on your engagement!
