NOW THE BIG QUESTION IS ( WHAT KIND OF SETTING SHOULD I PUT IT IN ? ) WOULD A HALO LOOK HOT ?

Beautiful radiant! I like it set by itself the way it is in the pictures. That beauty doesn''t need any little helpers.

Hey bliss, your radiant is beautiful

A halo would look nice but then I am a halo type of girl....... it is definitely substantial enough to stand on its own in a great solitaire.

a couple of ideas

or maybe a split shank?

Bliss -- that is a GORGEOUS stone.

Here are 2 Tacori settings for square-ish stones (they are princesses in the examples) that are simple but have a halo. Your stone is definitely substantial enough to stand on its own as a solitaire, but hey -- if you want extra sparkle, go for extra sparkle! I love the Leon designs suggested above. They are very classic and graceful.

hi blissfulbride :)

what a gorgeous stone! i love radiants. for myself, i''d be slow to do anything that detracted from it in any way; with a size 5.5 finger, it doesnt need any extra coverage - so i thought something like this might be nice. and take a look at the workmanship in these - it''s gorgeous!

i should have said - obviously not a radiant in those photos, but the setting could be adapted easily enough.

Beautiful radiant - congratulations

It''s absolutely gorgeous, blissfulbride! Congrats. It looks very big on your finger, so I''d probably let it stand on its own, but hey, if you want a halo, go for it!

Whitby, who made that setting? It''s gorgeous!

I heart it!!!! Congrats!

Love it!! I don't know if I'd do a halo. Maybe micropave? Or, do you like 3 stones?

This is yummy....(obviously not a radiant in the pic, but you get the idea)

Lovely ring! I love it set just the way it is :)

I have a 1.89ct radiant currently set as an E-W pendant and have been pondering setting it E-W with pave split shank to switch out with my ER.

What does your wedding band look like???

I dont have a wedding band yet but I do want it to set flush. Please send me any pics of any settings you think with look nice with it. I dont want anything to thick. Micro pave is cool and split shank is cool too. I''ll be getting my band soon I just need some Ideas and I know you ladies can really help me.

thank you so much
I waited a long time for this upgrade and it has so much more sparkle then the asscher I had before.

I agree that a halo might be a bit much for that stone. It''s so sparkly and gorgeous on its own and a halo might detract from it and the stone might get lost, you know? I agree that a micro pavé or pavé setting would look nice.

Congrats, it is beautiful by itself... I also really like the setting shown by kimikocat! YUMMMMM

hi mscushion :)

it''s really something, isnt it?

it was made by Barrett Salzmann for Von Bargen''s (www.vonbargens.com - try clicking on the link which says ''pure custom'' - it has this ring with pictures of it being constructed and different angle shots, plus a number of other beautiful rings). he''s a master jeweler who has studied under 2 master jewelers, and i think he''s a wizard! he hasn''t made anything for me *yet*, tho i''m in the process of getting quotes from them for a new custom platinum wedding band. my current band is lovely, but is almost 100 years old, and is starting to wear. my husband, who is the most sensible man alive, bought me 2 sets when we married - one in yellow gold and one in platinum; he *totally* understood that a girl needs to be able to match both sets of coloured metals! unfortunately, the wedding ring in my plat. set is almost 100 yrs old (e-ring was new at the time) - and the engagement ring in the yellow/rose gold set is 100 years old also (wedding ring was new at the time) - so both will need to be replaced at some point! anyway, i''m looking at a full circle platinum ring, bead set, with milgrain edging, stones 3-4 points each (havent totally decided on the size yet).

anyway, it''s worth browsing - goodness knows i''ve wasted plenty of time on the von bargens site!

What about this split shank? Gorgeous!

The first Tacori setting is my setting without the diamonds on the band. My stone is set N/S but just figured you would get an idea of what my halo looks like.

Agreed. Sad to see you let the asscher go, but glad to hear you're happy with the new stone.
