I started lurking 2 years ago, joined last summer right after getting married, and I have no excuse for not ever making a SMTR thread. None. Since I''ve posted my ring once or twice in other threads, I figured I should put some pics up all in one spot. It''s no longer new to PS or to me, but I still love it all the same and thought I should share. :)

Stats:

Setting – wg Richard Krementz bridal line, 4mm flaring out to 6mm with euro shank

Stone - .62 Emerald Cut - G, VS1
L-W ratio 1.25

W-band - 1.7mm wide with 33 rb diamonds bead set
G-H SI, .25 ctw

Thanks for letting me share! New camera + clean ring = lots of pics to follow

Here''s the back view - I love the "ribbing" or whatever it seems to have on the back - and you can see that the w-band doesn''t go all the way around.

Whole hand shot - someday, I''ll learn to stop biting my nails!

Last one - for Xmas, DH gave me a 4mm wg milgrain band from e-weddingbands.com - it''s almost a perfect match to his wg one from Artcarved. Typically I wear the plain band by itself (to work out, around the house, etc), but I really like the look of the two bands stacked, too. I forgot to say this earlier, but my original w-band is also from Artcarved and is palladium.

Thanks for indulging me with my little photoshoot!!!!!!!! :)

Your rings are beautiful! And I love the band that DH got you for Christmas, very pretty stacked with your wedding ring!

I know this is out of topic but I don''t know where to post. Do all diamonds come with grading reports? cause I bought a diamond, but it didn''t come with any information like none of the 4 c''s or anything and i was wondering if i got a good prize or not cause i have read some bad reviews about the place i bought it.

Very unique and pretty set. I love it!

I have always wondered why you never had a thread devoted to your beauty!

I love your set, btw! Gorgeous!

Very beautiful! I love your setting! I think emerald cuts are so classy and elegant.

I love that setting!

Thanks everyone for your kind words!!! It was soooo difficult to find the right setting - DH and I searched for months. I didn''t want sidestones and I wanted something unique...turns out, that''s hard to find when you''re sans sidestones or pave! Our first idea was to have a Cartier replica (the split shank one that is always in ads with an EC..?) made without the pave, but it wasn''t very cost effective to do so. I went back to the jeweler (Bremer in Bloomington, Il) sooo many times to see my setting - DH and I called it "the water ring" because it reminded me of waves and I FINALLY decided it was the one. Unfortunately, the matching w-band was NOT the one. It was just a little too much metal and started to detract from the center stone. The jeweler suggested an ultra thin bead-set band and I was hooked - it added just the perfect amount of disco-ball sparkle. :)

Anyway, I''m rambling. Sorry for holding out for so long! Thanks again everyone for such nice comments!!

El, it''s always nice to see another EC. I like how it isn''t matchy matchy.
