First 100 degree day of the summer --- on my wedding day!

I am getting married this weekend and it''s forecasted to be 100 degrees! I am really freaking out about it right now. We are having our ceremony outdoors at 6pm. Thankfully, it is in the shade.. but still. What else can I do to help my guests? We are supplying ice cold water bottles and programs that double as fans for the ceremony. After the ceremony (which is expected to be about 30 minutes long) the guests can move indoors where it is airconditioned. I put on my wedding website that men don''t need to wear jackets.

I am most worred about my fiance and his groomsmen. They have to be standing up and wearing tuxes.

What a nightmare! I knew it would be hot, but I didn''t expect this. Average temperatures for this tme of year are in the upper 80''s, not 100''s!

If I had to choose, I would take a hot day over rain on my wedding day for sure! Thirty minutes won''t be bad. Sounds like you have it under control. Besides, no one will blame you for the weather. In addition, you probably just need to make sure that your bridal party is able to get their hands on water well before the ceremony so that they''re hydrated.

How would you feel having the men wearing their tuxes without the jackets? Look for an oscillating fan that is battery powered? Look into having an extension cord come out to power fans to blow on the wedding party? What about providing hankies to the guests to wipe their brow? I for one sweat a LOT, and therefore always pack 2-3 bounty paper towels for that purpose. Maybe also provide a few bottles of sunscreen if any portion of your guests will be sitting in the sun. I would also provide 2 bottles of water per person to double, triple prevent the remote possibility of heat stroke. That would be my biggest concern for the wedding party. Good luck!

How about the water mist sprays? I know it''s a little "out there", but the groomsmen can keep one in their pocket, and spray their faces if necessary.

I used to tease on of my friends for using these, but they really do help when it''s hot out. A quick spray to the face makes a huge difference.

Darn weather!

I hate to suggest this, but can you ask the officiant to speed things up? I don''t know how much of your ceremony program is required, but that much be an option to get out of the heat a bit quicker.

Is it supposed to be humid?

If nto - I really think you''ll be OK, being in the shade and since its at 6PM.

DON''T FREAK OUT! This is your big day, you cannot control the weather and THANK GOD its not going rain.

ALL OF YOU - guys and girls - drink water all day long and stay hydrated!!!

Hve a beautifyl wedding!

Are the people attending used to that type of weather? It was 100 the day I got married outdoors at 6pm with no shade, and even in a huge dress I don''t remember being hot. I think you''ll be fine
